my least fond memory of 'stubbie' beer came about by being 100% my own fault. It was '81 & I had my near new H-D Super Glide out for a ride that night. I stopped @ the deli near my home and bought 2 stubbies, popped 1 & drained it then hit the parkway, little did I know a Westchester County Parkway cop was watching me, he followed me a hit & then hit the lights, I chucked the 2nd beer (glass bottle) away and got serious.
I used the advantage of being on my bike by taking 2 consecutive exit/entry ramps @ breakneck speeds and around the cars on the ramps, I exited one ramp & I blew thru a red light and onto Yonkers City streets, the Parkway police had no direct radio contact w/Yonkers, except by each one using their dispatchers. I used to live a few blocks from there & knew how to outfox him.
the Yonkers police did however get in on the chase when they spied me trying to slip onto the NY State thruway, I got on the NYS thruway and lost that pathetic 6 cylinder Yonkers squad car; the state police were going to be a 3rd leo entity not quite in full/rapid radio contact w/each other.
After racing down the thruway a bit I had to shoot right thru the very quiet Ardsley toll booths (they'd never miss that quarter) and then I made another illegal exit (using an entrance ramp) to get my bike to my fathers house, my Yonkers address was gonna be hot for days.

Wild Turkey 101 Kentucky straight Bourbon and Miller High Life.
I kind of like Miller High Life now as far as cheap American beer it's got a better taste than Budweiser to me, certainly not the best, but the best cheap beer IMO. They do call it the champagne of beers. Lol
