I think the Ukrainian have better prepared and and got better hardware and the play at home. The Russians have long support routes and they are mostly trains and railways, which are easily to be destroyed or disturb.

"they play at home". good point, Herman. old man Winter saved Russia from invading armies repeatedly, Hitler & Napoleon Bonaparte notably. otherwise militarily superior forces met identical fates by being the away team. this time it is the Russian forces away from home for the winter.

Today I saw one, and there should be to see like Ukrainians kill wounded, catched russian prisoners, but I am sure the movement of the bodys came from the shots. They were dead before. If not, who cares, war is terrible and always was. In history, the winners walked over the battlefields and killed all wounded enemys with sword, axe or spear. It was normal to do it.

PS It happened to my own grandfather, on december 31. 1943 in the Luhansk region, he had a broken foot, like a comerade wrote to my grandmother, he cant flee like the other germans, they let him lay in the snow, and the russians didn´t take prisoners while attacking.
in todays "enlightened" age, it has been determined that a wounded soldier restricts an armies ability to fight more than just killing him. this was allegedly a considered benefit of going from .308 cal. firearms to .223/5,56 years ago. one wounded person requires lots of resources to tend to, a dead man just costs a post card to notify his next of kin. with a smaller caliber, shooters are more accurate because of lower recoil and they can carry a lot more ammunition.
