hello everyone and welcome to the jungle

here is what my burrow looks like right now, day 6 since flip:

i am starting to think that this bush will overgrow the space... aaaaarghhh! should have sticked to scrog maybe...

after some more training i chilled a bit:

peace out!

You might have to train them a little bit each day.

When I have to train plants I actually train them a lot more than I update my pictures. The training pics I post are usually only because I trained them on the pic update day. I might be pinching stems in the cab every day or two when they really take off, I just don't document the total pinching of a plant I do.

thx, sgap :]

blynx, thanks. i proceed exactly as instructed, train them every other day and pinch the stems heavily. in my last scrog run i observed that pinching results good in stretch control. once they stop stretching, i let them go as they wish. it probably prolongs the whole grow but i rabbit is not in a hurry.

so the burrow seems to be on a good path already!

i have some news for you, folks.
i decided to start new strains seedrun in some time because i got quite a lot of buds off my current strains (mothers). variety is a spice of life, eh?
so i need to flower out my bonsai moms. perhaps you remember the rabbit pit? it is an emergency cab that i use when i need extra space. i will use it now to bloom the bunny mothers.

and coco hempy buckets, again, that's correct! :] i love this medium.
here are 10L containers i intend to use:

i cut off the top of each, and used their valves to act as hempy holes:

as you see above, they are full of coco and ready to receive some ladies!

out of my moms i chose these 3 HotMix gals:

here they are safe in the pit:

picture.php

besides, i threw some rooted clones which were left from the microsog operation in the burrow, as seen above - bottom right corner.

i know they all look a little sad as they had very little nutes and light until today. so first feeding goes immediately:

i think i will veg them for some time to allow for new root growth (maybe 10 days or so).
then bloom them out!

hope you like it. peace to all viewers!

Those poor ladies! Abused, beaten and left in a dark hole in the ground - I had no idea about the depravity of rabbits.

What have you got under the coco? I see something there. Any concerns about standing water in the containers with the spouts not being flush with the bottoms?

in fact we are less moral than you'd guess! ;)

What have you got under the coco? I see something there.

in one container there is perlite below the coco, in the other there are lava rocks. i believe both will do the job equally.

Any concerns about standing water in the containers with the spouts not being flush with the bottoms?
no concerns at all! actually that is the point of hempy buckets.
the perlite/lava bottoms are full of nuted water and the plants drink it once their roots reach there.

the key point is: with each feeding new water pushes the old water out through the whole and hose. so the standing water only remains there for several hours.
besides, that new water is well oxygenated - allowing for lots of goodies for the roots (oxygen + fresh nutes)

i fell in love with hempy bucket technique as it forgives a lot of mistakes (especially with coco) and it can be automated easily :good:

stay cool, buddy! :joint:

thx, cheese! hello everyone!

here is a little update. currently, after 9 days of 12/12 the burrow looks like this:

picture.php

isn't it a great view?

NO, IT IS NOT :[

here is why:

as you see, pink rabbit is growing a whole bunch of f***ing males...

turns out i was cloning the wrong mother/s all this time... (father/s, in fact).

i must have been so stupid to label them wrong when they rooted!

(btw, rabbit is now completely confused about the moms [/or dads] that sit in the rabbit pit)

so dear viewers, have a look at these 10 because this is the last time you see them:

so many thoughts crossing my pink mind now...
why did the stupid rabbit keep the male /s in the first place???
oh yeah, remember, 'breeding projects'...
well, there you go, rabbit, you can have your breeding now, with 10 males, 1 female and 1 more (supposedly) male!
enjoy, rabbit!

here is the only female i got (left) and one more clone who seems to be male but i need to confirm soon (right):

picture.php

call me lucky, eh? :badday:

that one female is not enough for the burrow, so much free space left.
on the other hand i cannot grow her much bigger since she is already into flower.

need to figure something out...

If you have fem clones that you can re-pot and put straight to flower, then I'd throw them all in there and just harvest the current lone fem ahead of the others.

If you don't have fem clones ready to go, either start this round over and scrap the current lone fem or keep her flowering until you have other clones ready to flower, add them and harvest her ahead of the rest.

If you have to use this cab to veg out the clones to get them ready to flower, then I'd' just scrap this round and get the next one going.

Good advice. But Im having a terrible thought that you maybe tossed the extra 'males'.

You can flip back to 24 on and whip that girl into shape. If you do have fem clones to switch to, I don't see any reason to cull this lady. Train her and run the clones au natural or give them a quick topping right away.

Keep your head up, Rabbit. This is a minor setback. Something similar-ish happened to me, too, with my Far Out garden. When they went hermy, I realized I had to do something, or else I would have been starting over. So I just moved a Silver LA mom into the garden and flowered her out instead. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do to keep the buds flowing, know what I mean?

Nothing can stop the rabbits from proliferating!!

ok, folks, all issues resolved.
one stupid mistake equals so much extra work, a real pita.
i still can't believe how stupid rabbit can be...

picture.php

back to growing...

the other micro clone turned to be male just as rabbit suspected.
i didn't want to waste time on reveg of the lone female and i didn't have any clones left on hand.
thanks for all advice, anyway!

so i decided that the female will move into the cab with lowest wattage, given all other mothers i intend to flower.
she now receives 90 W of CFLs down in the rabbit pit:

picture.php

when it comes to the hempy buckets with HotMix moms (or dads?!) which were located in the pit, i moved them to the rabbit nursery.
as you see below, i reconstructed this cab to provide more wattage.
there is a single 125 W CFL that hangs vertically so we can now say 'rabbit goes vert' ;)

picture.php

^ this cab looks ghetto since i had little time on my hands. it will be upgraded with new bigger outlet fan and a dyi cardboard scrubber.

now back to the rabbit burrow where it all begun.
i had to figure something out for the 3 ChemdogDD-x-SourDiesel ibl moms that were sitting there thus far.
at least i know they are all females since i didn't clone the CD-x-SD male (phew!).
i decided to use my last technique with the yellow hempy container and threw them all in there.
this will probably end up as a scrog because it worked great the last 2 runs:

picture.php

i hope i solved most of the issues.

the last Q refers to the HotMix bonsai: which of them is a hidden dad?

 sorry, but that just made my day!!

I was going to suggest to flip your moms to 12/12 after taking new clones to preserve them, but i guess that is your plan now?

Just trying to be helpful !

hi, sgap, my friend
thanks for stopping by and commenting.

^ well, my plan is almost that
i do flip all moms into 12/12 now, indeed like you suggest. however i didn't take any clones off them because i am well stocked with these buds and i need some fresh blood, therefore will start some new genes next time.

stay relaxed, buddy :smoke:
