Very cool idea with the drippers! I didn't like the half gallon milk jugs cuz they were a pita to keep watered once the plants got some size to them.

hi, thanks!

yeah, i hope the auto-feeding system will spare me a lot of hassle :)
it was great in last run but it was just 1 plant and 1 container then...
we shall see

peace out! :smoke:

Just a silly question : why don't you use the big brown tray as a large hempy style bed for a SOG ?

hi, folks, :thank you:

hempfield this is not a silly Q, i was considering one common container but due to my problems with clones i want to have full control over each of them... this way i will be able to replace the ones who don't survive (and their dead roots), contrary to all being planted in the same pot.
but it is a good idea for future once i have my cloning routine on a good track :good:

yakov, my pump is ca. 350 litres / hour but water volume is considerably decreased by drippers and a sponge filter installed on the pump (see pic below).
if you move some pages back you will see details of the watering system. i didn't change it for 3rd run as it worked well before. the only difference is the number of drippers.

peace! :smoke:

wow this is a cool new setup. I haven't been on in a while... those are some nice buds that last lady got.

hi folks
thanks for your kind comments.

here is a little update from the burrow.
after 13 days of veg i am only partly satisfied with the project.
3 clones look good, 2 others are OK, but the rest is still struggling:

picture.php

good sign is the fact that each of the miserable ones shoots new growth so they didn't give up yet :]

the biggest problem i wil have now will be the difference in size/height of the plants...

Is it a water volume issue? Maybe 2 lines, exact same length, from the res to opposite locations on the feed loop would disperse it more evenly.

no, wg, actually it is all a matter of differentiated condition of the clones i used.
should they all be well rooted and healthy prior to planting, they would be fine.

as a matter of fact, they all receive the same amount of water each feeding, thanks to the use of drippers which decrease the flow very much. it was tested so i am convinced it is not the issue.
btw, you can notice that the 2 best looking clones are on opposite parts of the feed line, which proves that they both get what they need. thanks for your point, though!

meanwhile, some signs of recovery:

a remark on the side: given my issues with clones, pink rabbit may go with a seed run next time...

Don't give up on them because I have had clones befor that looked dead but then they started growing fine and ended up growing big too.

Id give it more time and they'll grow good. Id love to be able to get some good clones to grow but got no extra space nore do I know anyone with any.

anyway GL with this round. Ill be watchen the show.

hello there :tiphat:

cheese, thanks for encouragement, buddy. i am not giving up, will just need to figure out how to even the canopy out later on.
i just say that my next round might be a seed run to avoid all the clone issues.

i thought i'd share the outcome of the 2nd run.
here are the above-the-scrog buds, all nice and dry by now:

picture.php

their dry weight came to 56g, which is slightly less than i estimated during harvest:

and here is the below-the-scrog popcorn jungle:

nice glands can be visible here as well, even though all of these shoots received hardly any light:

i divided the jungle into 2 fractions: smokable buds and hashable trim
some of the beans were found during the operation which proves my pollination attempt was successful :]
the buds yielded 8g:

picture.php

to sum it up: 64g

looking back, run #1 yielded 70g (it was strain CD-x-SD ibl) so the result is quite similar even though HotMix had much better conditions.
it means that the HotMix is a less productive strain (which btw i knew already after the big cab run).

besides, i enjoy the smoke of the CD-x-SD ibl much more than the HotMix. It gives more relaxed feeling and gets me high, while the HotMix gets me stoned and hammers me to the couch lol! :]

Congrats on the seeds! Theres something extra exciting about popping your own seeds. I cant remember who daddy was - ?

Ideally, how much weight would you like to pull? I think you could get 3 oz.

So how do pink rabbits like their weed? Edibles? Or are you hanging with a hookah smoking caterpillar?

definitely it brings a lot of joy
it is not the first time i managed to have seeds but still i am never sure if all works out fine ;]

here is the daddy:

picture.php

it is a multiple cross, whose genes include: LR, DF, NYCD, SourNL.
so who knows what is going to come out??? :)

Ideally, how much weight would you like to pull? I think you could get 3 oz.
well it is not really about ideal yield. my target is just to improve with every run but i don't get very disappointed if it is not the case ;]
3oz is 85g and such result would be more than 20% increase versus my 1st run in this cab. and the first run is a benchmark here as it was the highest ever hehe.
if i pull 3 oz from this cab one day i will call it a fantastic run! i keep my pink paws crossed to see that some time.

So how do pink rabbits like their weed? Edibles? Or are you hanging with a hookah smoking caterpillar?
i am an old school rabbit who smokes joints and washes the aftertaste with a pint of ale lol! at times the trim goes into the kitchen and it is then processed into cannabutter, cookies etc.
but it only happens when i have some more time on my hands, which regretfully doesn't happen often recently :/

freakin' awesome, Nkots! :)
I pretty much landed the same amount - with a bigger and louder setup.
Density is insane on that popcorn jungle eheh :) !

thank you, rooti :)
nice seeing you in the burrow  stay cool, buddy!

a little update. 3 days from the last pics i shared, most of the clones seem to be back on track:

i made a little compilation to show more details of each plant.

as you can, notice, the future of #2 and #8 is still uncertain:

picture.php

i am quite happy about the rest :]

so what do you folks think, veg them a little while and then what?

i cannot decide between allowing only one single cola vs. topping them and making a little bush of each?

Single cola my friend...but I'm biased lol

You do how you wanna do...the rest of us will sit here admiring.
