that is for reemay cloth to lay over the plants to keep cabbage moths from laying eggs.
I use to use old thread bare white sheets to cover the plants which would get too heavy in the rain (reemay doesn't as much but will still weigh the plant down especially when they are younger.

The wire is 6x6in concrete reinforcement wire three feet wide in an arc.

I will be putting two together to make a taller 'tunnel' to accommodate the larger plants.

I have used it covered with plastic like a poly tunnel to get a jump on the season but the plastic doesn't last long rubbing against the rusty wire

hope that helps !:tiphat:
Where's that gif of the Guinness guys yelling "Brilliant!"?

that gif and list of the people kind enough to share their ideas would be awesome.
I can honestly say nothing I do and share on these forums is my own idea, the wire is just another example.

I am happy to pass what I have learned from those 'giants' in hopes others may benefit.

Like container gardening in 8in of soil or less. works well for certain veggies and fruits. I just harvested these beets this morn
tomato plants are ready to hit the ground running.

Yes, Darksider, you can tell your wife she does beautiful work. Does she do it professionally?
Shes definitely talented enough and patient enough that is for sure.

I for one would love to see more.

Edit- the only edible art I can do is on the BBQ

No such thing as overkill when people are underfed and going hungry
overgrow the planet, use what you can, give the rest away before it spoils.

These gardens are amazing plus these awesome pets! I would love to have such garden soon too!
Show us your garden and the love when you get the chance.

I like those cages. Are they mainly to keep deer away?

Can you do anything with the broccoli leaves or are they too tough?

Green Squall; it's 6in x 6in concrete reinforcement wire, been so long ago I believe it came in 8ft x 20 ft sheets. You could cover it with chicken wire and it might keep the deer out. depends on the animal and how well it is staked down. The neighbors had to resort to using hog fencing due to one determined buck but I've been lucky he hasn't decided to jump my fence.(yet)

makes a great poly tunnel but also a great kite when covered with plastic. Double down on the stakes if you go that route. I used it recently to shade the broccoli with cardboard during some unseasonably hot weather.

I've made round cages out of them for peas and tomatoes. Also you can see little fences that I grow peppers, edamame and melon. So many uses for the stuff.
