Just wondering what happened to the whole peace movement. It seems there isn’t one anymore.

The far left dems used to be Anti-war for all war. Now they’re just as pro war as the republicans were 20-30 years ago.
Peace movement lol… America has always been pro war.

My mother and father gave all their possessions away to live as hippies in the late 60’s. They were against all forms of violence, and preached love.

While our government has always loved war, there have been various pacifist movements among the people. There seem to be none of those movements now.

This is how i know there aren’t many real socialists now. I actually know real socialists.

why ? because not everyone agrees with you on WHICH wars are righteous and NEED to be fought to prevent even worse/larger wars with many more deaths ? you seem to ascribe to a position of "if someone attacks you, just surrender and save lives." fuck that noise...
I’m simply stating there used to be a large movement against ALL WAR. Now there isn’t.

I’m talking pacifists.

Pacifism is a liberal construct that does not work as evidenced by the last 45yrs. Bill Clinton & his coalition of "New Democrats" literally said they don't want to be associated with peace n love hippy liberals any longer and turned the party into a corporate neoliberal fuckfest.

Violence against the state, and the capital that controls the state is the only way forward.

Gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette.

this is also why "peace n love" types are seen as "far left" these days.... the overton window left these people behind as both parties kept moving further right.

do you know what they call a person that won't defend themselves ? the "victim"...

:thank you:

nope. neither of my boys are Chump supporters. i have been working since i was 14 for other people, worked farm jobs for family before then.
Oh I’m far from a pacifist. I’m just genuinely curious where they all went. In the 60’s they were everywhere.

I’m anti-war, but not because of pacifism. My anti-war mindset comes from the libertarian perspective.
