Well, I do recall that after General Barry McCaffrey was dubbed The Butcher of Iraq for opening up with everything they had on retreating (mostly disarmed) Iraqi troops, GW made him the Drug Czar in the US. I mean, he showed such compassion and humanity that he deserved to have been chosen to find workable solutions for people with human habits or problems in dire straits.

No, I didn't care too much about Monica. I cared that Bill Clinton has been a pro-Wall St. hack and a lying sack of shit since his days as Governor in Arkansas. Monica was simply another of his many lies and taboo exploits.. And his helping to repeal Glas-Stegal was evidence of who he really represented. And it wasn't your grandparents' 401k's, either.

And the significance of Monica and Bill's 'relationship' is that it was evidence that Bill is/was willing to use a position of unequal power and disregard that imbalance in having an affair with an underling. In any/most other Human Resources Depts in any businesses I've worked at, that sort of imbalance would be sufficient to begin a discussion re. implicitly coerced sex, which is tantamount to rape in some places, which Billy Bob has been accused of in the past, by the way.

That is determinist nonsene based on the conservative and inherently authoritarian idea that man is violent by nature. Which is both common place and just one aide of the coin.
Cooperation is in in our nature just like competition, if not more. Why did we develop the most complex social behaviour and social structures and the most complex language systems to manage those?
Successful societies are those that cultivate cooperation, both within and with external partners.
The same goes for higher developed animals. Wars between apes for example, even sadistic violence for no obvious reason do exist, but they are far from being the norm.
