There are ways to mail seeds. Clean the seeds very well and send them with seasoning or wooden bead sets. There are beads that are the same color and size as seeds, and it is very and to tell what is what, even when you are really looking.

All I can say is where there is a will there is a way.

I am in agreement with Chunkypigs on everything but the smuggling. That should not be taken lightly. But the reliability of awesome clones is what makes the markets in Seattle so awesome.

Jeez, you about took my head off when I mentioned that my neighbors in Taganga climbed over a six foot tall brick wall topped with broken glass bottles set in concrete to steal my outdoor hammock when I was sick. While they do have a lot of thieves and untrustworthy people I trusted my contacts in Colombia with my life and my money many times and they never let me down.

For that I do apologize to you Sforza, however you must understand that my children are Colombian (half anyway) so I’m very defensive about people speaking badly about Colombians. And I base my judgement on years of living here among them; the younger generation of Colombia is shedding that stereotype of negativity. The fact is the past is gone and nothing stays the same and I put faith in my children.

Your input in this thread is always welcome and valued.

You are exactly correct Chunkypigs about clones and I understand their value but I just don’t have the balls to attempt to smuggle any back but if I could I’m sure I would have a slant here. Your pictures are making me drool no doubt. And thank you for the suggestion.

Last Sunday I once again lost the never ending battle with my ego and succumbed to anger when my wife said I was a patristic drug addict. Even though I’d really stopped consuming days before I took all my saved weed about ½ oz of different samples and a few vials of oil and all my smoking devices and related objects and threw them in the trash. Just to show her what an addict I am, but I didn’t touch my window sill plants or my modest seed collection. The wife was shocked as she honestly believed I was a hopeless addict and couldn’t stop. Now she has softened and I more than proved my point as I also secured new paying students. I told her I wasn’t quitting the cannabis only proving that it’s not additive and I can start and stop at will.

Yesterday when I found that Colombian seed facebook page my heart fell right on the floor as I watched my dream disappear. I realized many realities that I didn’t even think of before. What really hit me was the fact that my dream of a peaceful farm growing the old long flowering sativa was pointless to anyone other than me, that no one is interested in them. It all made sense to me, my delusion that the “regs” (Punto Rojo, gold, reds, Corinto and blacks) compared to kush is weak and ugly. I’m living in the past, people want the super potent pretty weed and mine was next to garbage. This new understanding made me sick to my stomach and even my cannabis hating wife showed sympathy. The fact is even the best Punto Rojo wasn’t really medical and couldn’t even be given away here. I was covered in a wet blanket of depression and my clear head was intensifying this sensation.

attachment.php

However since then I shook off the blanket of despair (without the aid of cannabis or anything) and decided to press on with my dream regardless. I’m going to grow what I want, how I want just for me. If they have no interest so be it, I know what’s right for me. My interests remain high altitude long flowering tropical NLD done the old school way. I’m not looking for super high THC %s fast flowering times and fat pretty buds. So I’ll go today and see the Colombian grow shop and talk with the boys down there and see what the deal is. If nothing else I’ll find out how to get some of my seed out to be tested by those how do care. Confidence is high. Update coming.

Again my friends thank you from the bottom of my heart for your interest and understanding the rider.

Hey Red, I too grow what I want just for me and a few friends and family. Can't get clones in a legit transaction where I live, so I too grow from seeds: Nirvana, Connoisseur Genetics, Female Seeds, Paradise seeds. I'm hoping you can recreate some of that Colombian goodness I have such fond memoires. I'll be happy to grow some of your seeds when they and the remainder of the world are ready for World wide legalization.

Don't despair brother. Yes the masses are enthralled with the super high thc elite cuts. But there are lots of people that want the old school flavors and types of highs and effects that offer mental stimulation without crippling medicinal effects. There are many times of the day that I prefer to smoke the types of herbs that u are pursuing.

My guess is that u would have more demand for them in the u.s. though, since those types of lines are so few and far between, while being more of the norm where u are.

Sure, might be able to make a viable business out of seed exports - well, seems improbable, but it might be something to think about. Landrace curator.

I think that a person can have kinds of cannabis and still be happy. If you want to make money it is another story

Hi, I'm '77. and live in Serbia, me and every friend I know would always choose that pressed old school bud (that looks really good for that kind of buds, really great colours :) ) over that "perfect looking" and superb smelling manicured one! With some exceptions, the best high I had was always from those "looking like crap" pressed black buds, or not pressed, but just black, earthy coffee smell or almost no smell at all! Those highs were the one you remember for ever, nothing can compare with it, or even get close in effect, it's a dimension on it's own. No ceiling, but you have no need to smoke more coz it's that good and you don't have the need for better/stronger effect because it's the maximum there is :D

I'm enjoying this thread, and your writing is beautiful like those buds are :D

I wouldn't fret too much about it and continue to do what you're doing. If you enjoy it and it makes you happy that's all that matters. I know I for one would love to get a hold of some of the ol time genetics and personally I dont need to get knocked on my ass, I just need to get rid of a headache and my shoulder pain without making myself non-functional for the day.

Thank you all very much as it is my great pleasure to share with like-minded enthusiast. So here’s a little more pressed Corinto for you all.

Yes it looks pretty bad and has a strong distinct taste that’s not sweet and fruity and yes you have to smoke more than a few hits to really get off.

attachment.php

But I can smoke it all day and just get higher and higher and heck I like cleaning the buds and pulling the seeds and leaves. And I don’t burn out very fast on it and the more I smoke the higher I get.

attachment.php

This just fits me better because gentlemen I like to get “high”, I’m not going to lie. I need medical potency sometimes too as I get older but I like the mind expanding effect for every day. So let’s continue collecting, growing and reproducing the original Colombian.

hey red rider,

NLD's can be pretty too...

you just need to breed with them and then grow them with modern techniques not traditional ones.

the mountains of colombia is my dream grow local... people will find that their dense kush varieties get moldy there, where the right NLD's will turn out like some fire indoor.

Hello Mad Lab, congratulations on choosing a Colombian partner. I believe there's some Colombian grows on IC although I've never spoken to them. might check in the Spanish speaking sections. Cali and the valle de Cacua is where the best crippy is grown according to my Colombian buddy. I've never been there myself but that's where a lot of the fighting is. I think you'll have a great time there.

Who made who

Who made who

I do need to add that I didn't grow the pressed bud in the pictures I posted. The stuff I grow looks like this coastal green I grew from seeds in pressed bud I've obtained here.

attachment.php

I know it looks like something from a 1977 high times but the taste and effect are the best. It is much differnt when sweat cured and I must admit I like it better air cured. But for a taste of the past the pressed bud is identical to the 70s.

When I grew this and compared it to the seeded bud it came from the effect of mine was not as sleepy narcotic and the taste sweeter.

Hey don't come in here posting pics of those foot fetish cave clones.

I'm just kidding man, you grow beautiful plants my friend and please feel free to post them here as you like. However I would like a story with them. I still can't stop laughing about your post in the "other" thread.

I'm on day 12 (I think) of abstaining and it's getting to me. Really I can be with out smoking but I'm finding it boring (life not IC). I guess I spent so much time smoking that with out it I have a lot of free time. Truth be told I haven't seen anything really interesting to burn. Just the crippy around now, even George isn't getting anything special. I looked at some but I'll wait a bit till the holiday is over (3 day weekend here) when George gets beck from the campo.

It's funny because even without smoking I still love to write about the mota.
