Beautiful pictures flower. Nice flat pasture, really looks like summer. What's the temperature there now? It was zero here about an hour ago but warming up with the sun.

I have smoked Colombian before we were getting commercial Colombian imported into the north east of the USA in the mid-1970s to the late 1970s I have to say it was really really good marijuana

My passport is from the USA but I haven't been there in 12 years. But Colombia is my adopted county for sure. Before I came here I had no idea it got cold in Colombia but it does at high altitude. Where I am now it's a harsh climate in ways most people aren't aware of. High winds, thunder storms with hail, extreme temperatures (daily) amd super intense sun. It's challenging to grow here but I feel that natural stress creates cannabis that's slightly better than lower altitudes.
I'm just acclimating and dialing everything in.
Late seventies was a golden era for Colombian cannabis, nice to know that you were there.

Warming up nicely as the sun makes a brief appearance. This time of year is still the rainy season or cloudy season. At night the clouds hold in some of the heat from the day but cloudy days keep a lot of the heat out.

This year we had an incredible summer (January - March) with weeks of no rain or cloud cover. August is the month for wind in Colombia were the kids get their kites up. Once I get the greenhouse up wind won't matter. Dealing with the conditions makes for sturdy robust plants. So let's see how the day goes.

Do not attempt to adjust your screen, we have control. Ha ha ha that particular plant is a mutant within the Kamora line. I first found that mutant phenotype in the Oaxacan when selecting a male for the taskenti in X2.
IMG_20230709_074538666_MFNR~3.jpg

It just grows that way and normally produces very tasty flowers. New growth is always bright yellow then darkens as it matures.
IMG_20230720_080710953_MFNR.jpg

This is a sister that is what most phenotypes look like in the F2s.
I'm still refining this line which takes time. We are sending some of these seeds to the USA among others for testing this year.

Things are coming along nicely here. I did the first STS treatment on some CBD plants yesterday. I hope it works, so far I've only successfully reversed one variety. And I pollenated the Kamora plants for the third generation seeds. Hoping to get the greenhouse started next month so I can start some new projects.

MHZ x SMG
Planning on washing a little bubble next week. I've made some nice dry sift from the MHZ x SMG and really liked it, so I believe that the bubble will be good.
We have another meeting with the boyacá hotel/ tourism next week. They want to supply cannabis to all the local hotels and resorts. Not quite legal yet but they believe that the law is about to change. So I've got a few samples for them but they only want the best and that's expensive. Even crippi is 10000 cop a gram so my 6 month sativa is going to be a bit more.

Beautiful morning after the fog disapated. Had to go to town this morning for some cooper tubing and yeast, just kidding. I am going to get my little grow tent.

Germanating some new African seeds for an outdoor grow. It's so cold here that takes seeds a few extra days to pop so I've got time to find a nice area for them.

After an eight week jar cure the MHZ x SMG is tasty. After several weeks of smoking different flowers and assorted rosin I went and opened a jar of the MHZ x SMG. The flavor and smell really impressed me. Not super loud but undeniably present, the smell is musky incense. Taste (burnt) is distinctly Colombian like the SMG but with a darker undertone that is addictive. Taste and smell linger in the nose and mouth.

Nice semi delayed effect that's uplifting and mood elevating. Not overwhelming but smoking a little more brings a pleasent happy effect. Clean satisfying finish that leaves room for more if re-up is desired.
Still feel this plant was cut before peak but 7 months was long enough for me.

great looking joints, that's a certain talent. Back when I was smoking (edible now), I would never get them that good.

Normally I don't smoke joints , preferring bowls. But I useally bring joints to socail events. Really I roll poorly unless under ideal conditions. Now joints are different with filters and oddly shaped. Mine are rolled the same way for the last 45+ years. One paper, no filter and only as big as needed. Works for me.

The idea came to me in early 2019 when I thought the incredible ACE Malawi would be a nice mother for the Haze male I had. So pollenization occured and I grew out some of the seeds and was happy. But in 2020 while residing in the zipacon cloud forest I thought the beautiful MHZ (Malawi x Haze) would be an excellent match with the SMG I collected yesrs before. In the blink of an eye MHZ x SMG was in existence. I believed the MHZ would elevate the SMG without altering the unique effect. So in 2022 away from the cold mountain cloud forest off zipacon I grew out two MHZ x SMG in Paipa. And finally after 7 months flowering I havested trimmed and proccsd the two plants. Jar cured for eight weeks. Then I washed the plants 6 times (90 grams) to produce the exact kind of hash I love.
IMG_20230804_065633204_MFNR.jpg

It's not full melt but the effect to me is absolutely incredible. Everything I like about the cannabis experience is represented in this hash. Strong uplifting, euphoric, instantly setting my mood to happy. Taste sweet incense that sticks to mouth and nose. Instantly eye lids hand and unconscious perma smile appears. Time distorts and passes without notice and I'm motivated to do something to improve the current situation. It sticks to the ribs too lasting full couple hours, but leaves super clean.
IMG_20230804_065611829_MFNR~3.jpg

So I'm happy with it.

Im imagining the sculptor who has a job sculpting hash... could be the new dispenary job haha. You could make anything...maybe add some reuseable glass art. Eyes, etc.
Why is that one a different color? They all look like full melt from here...

Strange it can be cold at the equator but elevation does have effects. Wondering if you like the bubble hash better than the sift.

I smoke so little it seems making hash would be a waste of time. If you smoke a good amount daily, then it would make sense to reduce unneeded material. I came across this picture while looking for winter in Colombia, which does not exist. Tatacoa Desert. Many different climates there.

Ha ha ha yeah I was going to write that I got balls but thought it was too much. But I spent a little times hand working the different grades. The light colored ball at the top is the best, it's mostly 25 micron and melts. The darker ones are 90 and although super potent don't melt. Maybe cause the plants are so sativa, I don't know but the 25 is the best.

Lot's temple balls around but there are SMG.
