Lots of hash making a comeback in Canada.. Its still slow on most hash in USA.. I need some Temple Ball. I think this would change people's minds here. 28g ball is $380. You can see the older methods had lots of matter still in them vs today's gold leaf wrapped balls. I'd like to see one of these up close.

Those are some very impressive looking Temple Balls (top pic). Since when did Temple Balls start appearing wrapped in Gold leaf....?
Are those sold @ Gucci stores ?
I can guarantee you that finding Temple Balls of that quality at a Canadian cannabis Federally licensed retail store is impossible.

Those top balls were most likely made using bubble or kief with all the matter removed before starting. They def were not made in Afghanistan/Nepal. If someone with the Knowledge and started off with super clean material they prob could make one it just takes time and a good cure. As cannabis becomes more excepted and more of the older generation passes that to other people the quality should follow.
I did find that top pic on a Canadian site that sells them online. The lowest price for 28g was 308$. I'm just assuming it's a gold leaf wrap. There are a few of them. If anyone buys one let us know.
It's fugazi......... no thanks

He's right.....it's now all marketing. On the gov't site in Ontario right now, there are 5 different hash balls for sale. The bottom level gets hash that has been strengthened with hash oil. Then one that calls itself organic Lebanese. Next up is a hybrid but still no cultivar is mentioned. It does say it is hand rolled and makes a deal about it. The top two (by price) are single cultivar bubble hash. None of them came from Nepal nor have they seen the inside of a temple. It's all marketing now folks . . .
charge me the double , i'm ok with thisI remember I use to get Nepalese Black Hash Fingers. That's right, fingers. Each would weigh about 1 oz., and were rolled into packs of 16 = 1 pound. Tied with twine on the top and bottom, circa 1977. It was very pliable/gooey after being exposed to heat.
I was paying $1600.00 / bundle............. it was amazing, and always sold FAST.

Sure we can do as good , but i'm unsure about the taste we got , local soil and tech make the diff , jMost won't import cannabis/hash when we can grow/make it ourselves. Why risk it. Could we make some hash as good? I think so. We don't need to live in Nepal to make a good hash. Learning how to grow our own well always be the best option.
Correctomundo......Sure we can do as good , but i'm unsure about the taste we got , local soil and tech make the diff , j
you know that as a breeder , just my opinion ...

A point of view and i respect that , all is said ,Flav/aromas are just perceptions. TB from 1970 had stuff in it we don't want to know it had. The tech they use can be improved, it's not a unique process lol. Those guys were not very hygienic either lol. Plenty of them has passed on that know how now their kids are our neighbors. Growing conditions/experiences have only gotten better. Can I grow better weed and make better hash today than I did in 1970 absolutely. Most people today have no clue what imported Cannabis/Hash was like from 1970. Even less ever experienced our homegrown/hash made from those imports. If you went to Nepal today and tried some I think you would be disappointed. Most if not all of those killer genetics that made the old stuff is lost.. If more people would breed back in older genetics like haze we might bring back some.
