Vaportronic by vaportek

So the vaportronic is a smaller version of the vaportek 4000? I wanted one so I could have it in my 7x6x8 room so whatever slips through the carbon scrubber isn't so plantish. I have a time mist that I can adjust down to the minute spraying..big can of ozium and that handles the main/entrance to the house. I don't smoke indoors.

Man when these things came out Rez was the only one pushing them, there was a lot of controversy to me they are still a little clouded in performance. Rez brags about em, but I think he uses 2-3 rooms sealed and exchanging air, or for an 'air lock' to enter his room.

I tried it and the scent of all of the array of flavors made me want to vomit. Neutral is far from neutral and the rest of them smell like someone wearing tons of flower perfume.

stain_searcher - How many discs did you use,(1-5) and what were the cycles at? (Default is 1min on 1min off)

A lot of people think vaportronics only mask/perfume the odor (and does so well). This is true for all of thier scents except classic neutral. The neutral disks actually perform a chemical reaction in the air with the organic molecules which are responsible for scent. It changes them into a new molecule that has no odor. Its essentially an ONA puck with a fan attached.

from Vaportek:

Exclusive Vaportek Systems

Odor Neutralization

When molecules of the several constituents of the Vaportek compound volatize into air, they react with the odor-producing elements of the odorous molecule. The portion of the molecule that contributes the odor may be aldehyde, amine, diamine, sulfide, lactone, carboxylic acid, ester, carbylamine, ketone or other carbons. These are highly reactive and are neutralized, or made inactive, by the interaction with the ingredients of the Vaportek compound. The Vaportek compound is effective because of its intrinsic wide spectrum of neutralizing activity, combined with its high mobility in air and ability to penetrate porous substances such as wallboard, wood, carpeting, cement, insulation and others to permanently neutralize imbedded odors.

neutral smelled like black licorice and flowers. I used the smaller version that you can hang on the wall and takes big blue disks. If you want to save some money go get your self some essential oils and a small fan. Use drops on a cloth and place in front of the fan. What do you think is in vaportek? I say if you dont mind the smell and the prices then Its a good thing . It made me sick though.

God damn. This thing is potent. I put one disk (Classic Neutral) in it, and turned it all the way down (1 minute on, 30 minutes off) and it's really strong. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do. I've got my cabinet in my bedroom, and I keep the door closed so the AC and dehumidifier can work.

Is it just me, or is this thing very poorly designed? When I first tried to adjust the timing, the little screw knob bent back flat against the circuit board. The circuit board isn't attached to anything, and just moves all over the place. Again, is it just me, or can you not turn it off if the back is screwed on?

Edit: Classic Neutral = BUBBLEGUM

Bringing this back. So I just bought a vaportronic. I have a room that is 6x4x7, so it's pretty small with only 4 plants. I just fired it up to test and damn it's potent. So I'm thinking of placing one of the pucks I have outside for a few weeks so it dissapates. Then what I'm thinking is dipping the puck in ONA. ONA smells much better to me. Do you think it would work?
