I am in the same boat imanig. Had to give up through cancer health problems. Have been off cigarettes for six weeks now with the help of nicotine patches. But I did give up once for one year and another time for 4 years and started again!

I bought an Inavap. It get's you high, but you don't get the taste/flavour of the herb. There's also the ritual of rolling a joint. Maybe it is psychological? Don't forget, MJ contains carcinogens itself.

A couple of times I have had a small single skin all herb roll up. Much better, but I don't want to start smoking again or I'll be dead. Have done a lot of research and the Volcano seems to be the one by a mile. But the cost! I even got a reply email from the company in Germany who guaranteed the Volcano keeps the flavour/taste.

Whatever you do, imanig, don't go back to cigarettes.

Just search the net for vaporizers and a ton will come up. I reccomend the vapordoc (been using for years now), volcano and vrip (heat gun with bong).
Seriously, don't buy a Vapir, you will regret it. Those things absolutely suck, just complete garbage.

I have tried a few diff vapes. My friends have many diff brands of vapes. Seems like my phone rings everyday ... my buddys want to come over and hit the 'Volcano'. The Volcano lets you breathe the smoke much deeper into your lungs then the other vapes I have tried ... its just like a deep breath of air . The taste is absolutley fabulous ... I even vape uncured weed at times ... believe me the fresh pot taste great in the Volcano, havent found any other way that i actaully can enjoy the uncured so much :)Hope this helps ...just for the record I would buy another Volcano in a heartbeat ... am very satisfied:)

I know the volcano is pricey and out of reach for some, but it is worth the bucks in my opinion. Quality workmanship, taste, ease of operation, and 3 year warranty. Really, it's not my fault the electric bill has increased $20.00 a month sense it got here. :biglaugh: Just kidding.

I cant reccomend it enough, GREAT TASTE, and they just recently switched over to a ceramic heating element, so it should never burn out.... Glass on glass, great taste, quality craftmanship... and if it breaks, they'll repair for a small fee... i think theres 1 year warranty too...

two years ago i got the Vapir in the dam.

The first year i used it alot and it gace me a clean quality high (not as strong as a hit from the pipe though). This year it doesnt seem to work very good. All the temps and buttons work (dont get me wrong) but the high is just not there, know what i mean?

You gotta inhale for like 20 mins to get a mild high, even with the temps in the 360-370F range.

Does the Volcano get you high?

I set my temperature on the Volcano around 6-7.

Start with a putting a little bit in and take small/medium hits. Use the bag within 5 minutes or so or you'll be coughing.

Clean and take care of your equipment :)

My VaporBrothers vaporizer now collects dust... lol

edit:
for the record, I never got as "high" as I do with bongs/pipes/J's... On the other hand, it's the cleanest, best smelling and healthiest alternative to toking.

I'm about 50% Vapor and 50% bongs/pipes/J's :sasmokin:

Someone has probaby mentioned this one but hey its worth some pix. This is a dutch unit made in a dutchman's home. They are very popular around holland and are in many shops. There is even a coffeeshop (Anyday) that has a Verdamper bar where there is like 10 of these units like up.

I should have cleaned it up for pix but ahh im bout to use it again.

Cheeba - I've had a vaporbro's for like 3 months... I use like 50 vapo/50 smoke too... but I really find that only a bowl on the vapo will get me real high now... I find that like 1/3 the pot get's you 5x as high on the vapo... oddly, some of my friends are virtually immune to it while others bow before its power!! ^_^ ~Z

I bought a vapir. Don't bother. They suck. I use it once and a while so I won't feel like a jackass for having spent so much money on it.

Vrip systems..

Vrip systems..

Here are two different systems by Vrip. One is the Direct extraction which is what they are currently selling.
They other is the Valloon system which is similar to the Volcano. Right now I believe they're involved in some kind of legal despute with maker of Volcano.

Here's the direct extraction system which is fine although I
found that having to hold the heat gun up at an angle was kind of a pain.

The heat gun is sturdy when sitting on a flat surface which is why I prefer the Valloon.
Steinel 3002 heat gun has digital temp control, ceramic heating element, and has a quick cool down feature that's great.

Below are pics of Valloon system in action.

I really like the Valloon best for vaping!
