So 2 things came to mind the past couple days.

1. Prohibition is not being ended anytime soon, a destructive policy, that has been proven to be a failure. Our representatives know the harms, and refuse to act to help society function better.

2. Medical use continues to be criminalized to this day. Because some people choose to abuse cannabis, patients are restricted from utilizing this life giving medicine.

Another thought came to mind. Its becoming more an more unlikely for the legislature to make any further reforms than what the federal agencies (DEA, FDA, HHS, Justice Department) recommend.

Congress (the legislature) would have to be able to reach a consensus and vote to pass a bill, and the president would have to sign it before it could become law. Its likely to be a timid reform if anything on behalf of the lawmakers, all the reform process is actively pursued only by the agencies at the moment, and Congress is choosing to wait until the agencies have taken the time they need to release their new Rule (law) about cannabis.

Any lawmakers who want to advocate for reform further than what DEA Justice department, FDA and HHS recommend may likely be considered by the majority as going against the system and extremist.

Therefore the changes we see will only be whatever the decision is of the federal agencies after their hearings and other steps in the administrative reform process.

This reform is taking place outside of the lawmaking system.

The legislators are making a choice to hold back and not prioritize this issue, to allow the agencies to complete the reform process; that way the legislators' careers are protected since they can stay out of the issue and avoid upsetting voters.

See how this goes? Its a done deal, the un-elected agencies rule on the Rulemaking process of this issue, and thats it. At least for the law abiding states. Other states which choose to have "Adult-use" laws will remain in place, but the ones holding to the 'Rulemaking' of the federal agencies in the Controlled Substances act will have to wait before prohibition is ended in their state.

The state of Illinois is making big money from customers who are traveling in to buy cannabis from other states. Its making the other states look bad also because the people are buying the products and voting with their dollars, resulting in a booming cannabis industry that is undeniable.

See whats going on here?

Prohibition has ended, yet we live in a land which is run by authoritarians who choose to oppress its people and threaten their lives in order to protect their political careers.

These states that have legalized adult-use cannabis, have they all been through 'ballot measure' voting or has the legislature actually passed a bill in any state on the issue? Mostly been ballot measures from what I have seen at least recently.

Past presidential election in the year 2000, after which the intent of voters was questioned by recounting ballots in Florida, wherein there were discussions of the punch-out style of ballots, and discussion of those ballots where it was clear that a specific hole had been punched, but the paper still hung or hinged to the hole in some slight way, creating a 'hanging chad'.

Still not a done deal that cannabis will be Recheduled any time soon, they may have the hearing and decide they need a couple years research data before making a decision. Also they will need to give FDA time to create a regulatory framework for botanical medicine.

The banking reforms for legal dispensaries mean profits and pass-through money to the banks, which boosts their portfolios, and the banks have HUGE lobbies, so if anything will be successful, that'll likely be the ONE, but there are still prohibitionists who see even that as enabling 'drug addicts'.

They care little about our human rights and the harms of prohibition, but the bank bill we need to get that through. Money and profits are number one, but turns out to be helpful for our human rights cause.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Eventually God will win, and the people will live peacefully. May be a day of judgement though if we don't shape up.

Need to take this as a chance to set the record straight and fight for human rights and freedom to make choices especially after what happened with the destructive response to CoVid 19. We can never forget.

Keep fighting the good fight. Respect for caring guys, stay in the fight. :plant grow: :smoke:

God's perfect design in creation. He can't fail, He saves, that's what he does, but there will be a day of judgement if we don't follow the Word of God's truth. He fights for us and builds our Holy city one way or another.

did you ever watch MASH when it was on? there was an episode where a soldier was suffering from "shell shock" (now called PTSD) and he thought he was Jesus. the shrink couldn't find anything wrong with him. as he was being sent back home, the priest was talking to him as he was getting on the truck. Father Mulcahey (sp?) asked him why God sometimes did not answer prayers. the kid looked at him and said "God answers ALL prayers, but...sometimes the answer is no." :chin:

How did the government establish proof to place cannabis in Schedule 1 CSA. that cannabis has a high potential for abuse and has no medical value.

Why do they need to do more research if they've already evaluated it. Seems wrong to let the agencies take care of it. Congress needs to hold the hearings on the issue because the Justice Department failed to re-evaluate it based on current evidence.

The definition of abuse according to Justice Department DEA-- chronic abuse is daily use.

Cannabis is a therapeutic and daily use would be normal for that type of a drug as a medicine, so how is that abuse? Its about dosage and effect, as well as using higher levels of therapy at appropriate times of the day.

Pray in Jesus name and you will receive what you ask for, and yes, you must pray according to God's will because its His perfect kingdom.

Thats why I don't worry too much about this government junk, although its interesting to watch, kind of like a race, but we are seeing God's judgement play out right in front of us.
