just letting you guys know. if you hear a knock on your door while you are taking a shit. whatever you do, don't flush the toilet. if it's the cops they will kick down your door and ransack your house because they thought you were destroying evidence.

Corruption from the very top trickling all the way down. This ruling is anti-American. I don't understand, well I guess I do understand that this is the fundamental change we were promised ... this has to stop.

One step forward, two steps backwards..down in the Babylon.

I understand that the justices were ruling that if someone is being chased, then they can't use a residence to hide if that cop has knowledge that they entered that residence...it seems the court confirmed this but sent it back to the state to determined whether the cops had sufficient evidence in this case.

Granted I don't support this "decision." However, I understand that it is very hard for the supreme court to remain consistent and consistency represents a "truth standard." It seems that the flip side is, "if a perv is being chased after say sexually harassing kids in a playground, then he runs into a house, is it lawful for the cop to continue the chase inside the residence if getting a warrant would compromises catching the subject and the safety of more kids?"

Lastly to whoever supports decriminalization and med, but does not support legalization, this is a future that you condone imo. Why was this person being chased in the first place? Drugs...big, bad drugs....This guys drugs have made me feel less secure than i felt yesterday. If drugs were legal, I'd feel the same.

this has alwasys been true... cops have always been able to chase a suspect into a building... now they can come up to any house "say" they smell something or they heard they "russeling around"

and literally kick in your door... legally... just that one cop....and you cannot do nothing about it... why dont we just go back to the days of great britian and start stationing a soldier in every house hold???

this is going to end in people being killed. Basically the cops can knock on the door and as soon as you move they kick the door. So fucked up.

BTW My brother is in high level politics and he believes that "marijuana raids are a waste of resources" He is a right winger too.

Well.. until everyone thinks the same, I think I just found a reason to scrap everything and put it away.

What's the word on just owning equipment that is stored away???

I guess My AR15's and the Cases of Armor Piercing ammo was a good buy afterall? Here I thought I'd be fighting foriegn terrorists????

Fuck the Constitution huh. Well Fuck you... The last thing pigs need is more freedom to commit criminal acts! They get away with killing unarmed homeless folks here in Seattle. They can stomp on a innocent mans head and shout racist comments and get 30 days leave with pay. WTF. Full on retirement for breaking in a home suspected of having drugs in it and killing a bunch of defensless kids and women is next huh??? It's time for a full on revolt. This terrorist regime we call Government needs a fucking awakining folks... BUT... Are the American people ready to finally wake up or will they just bury their head in the sand as always??????

I fucking hope next election we all get our shit together and vote for a real person not a fucking Lip Service Puppet ...

It just fucking amazes me how these jerk wads get into office? Most of the legal system is filled with twits that don't have a single clue. They pull the most un heard of commonless sense shit one could NEVER in a million years think up for a Steven king novel. i just walk away shaking my head??? It's as if Insanity and Chaos are the new norm now??? WTF. seriously WTFFFFFFFF. This seems like a real bad dream? This is not the America i grew up in. Hoe did it change so fucking drasticaly over night???? Seriously peeps it's time for some new leadership....

how could this NOT be a game over moment? If you grow in a non-friendly state.. this is it. You have NOTHING to protect you now, nothing. This is the FINAL WORD. SUPREME COURT.. game OVER!!!

So, anyone think freedom, liberty, and constitution-loving FOX News will touch on this nifty development, expressing their outrage at such an unamerican ruling? After all, they're fair and balanced, right? And Bill O'Reilly is 'lookin' out for us', isn't he? Our trustworthy constitution/flag-waving watchdog?

Nah. Don't think so.

I guess if the cops come knocking at the door, One must go straight to the door open it and tell them to get to stepping, I will not lawfully consent to a search and I wont allow you entry to my home.

Then open your curtains set down on the sofa and watch tv, Hell open the front door and keep the screen locked so they got a clear view of you chilling and watching tv! Then they will have no right to come in.

I guess one needs to keep the whole property fenced and locked, so they cannot even come close to the front door, Then they will have no means of getting that type of warrant.

I mean what are they gonna say, I approached the property banged on the gate and thought I heard evidence being destroyed inside the home from outside the property line....

Great Idea. Thanks for the tip!

Some people mentioned cops being shot dead for barging into unsuspecting peoples homes. I believe a law like this one went into effect a long time ago, and it got immediately repealed because cops were dying. This was told to me by a close relative who is about 60, during our conversation on the matter.
