im going to get the 600's rather than the 1000's since i only have 8 foot ceilings...

its hard to keep a good glue down pappy, that will at least double in size maybe even triple...

Triple would be a SAFE bet i think.
Its almost doubled in size since that picture!

well.. its a lot bigger, thats for damn sure.

And smart call on the 600's. If you got a 1000, you'd prolly have to turn it down anyways. And i think a 600DE running at 600 is more effiecent than a 1000DE turned down to 600.
I believe thats the case with regular HPS ballasts and bulbs. So it prolly holds true with Gavitas too.

Im telling you, those are my favorite. Those and cuts that are "cloned at the Y".
They become instant bushes.
Its like they're pre-topped, thats all. :)

You know what's not good?

Thrips!

Yep found a few in the veg room, hopefully they are not in the flower room. Sprayed with spinosad and then bombed with pyrethrin.

That should do it. I was only able to see two of them so I think I got to them early enough. Only a couple damaged leaves as well.

Here's a relevant post that he brought up earlier this week...

Or, you could head on down to Whole Foods and pick-up Cilantro (organic ONLY) and when you get home toss the entire bunch (sans the tie around the middle) into a food processor with enough water to make a slurry or puree.

Add this to 1 gallon of clear water and let it sit for 36 - 48 hours. No more than this.

Add 1 cup of strained Cilantro tea to 15 cups of water = 1 gallon. Allow for 1/4 cup of Aloe vera juice and use 1 tsp. of Pro-TeKt.

Wait until the it's almost "light's out" and spray the top of the soil, every branch, every leaf from top to bottom. You want the plant to look like you haven't watered in several days and it's drooping big time.

Leave the ventilation system going and by morning you won't have anything hopping, flying, whatever in your chamber. Follow this up every 4 days until you're completed 4 applications.

Done. Finis. Ovah.

This is not a pesticide in the usual definition and without a long explanation you might need to trust me on this one - I apply this and other 'Mint' teas to hydrate the soil every couple of weeks.

Yeah I thought about that but was unsure how it would affect the babies if the ants carry it to the root zone. They are crawling in the tops of the grow bags and out the holes in the bottom.
And btw, What the hell are you doing up at this time of the morning young man?

im always up at this hour, usually theres no one online though...
amdro is just boric acid mixed with sugar,if you get the liquid stuff they wont take enough into the soil to matter...i used the granular house barrier stuff too and it didnt hurt any of the outdoor plants...i had awful ant problems this summer until i started spreading the amdro around, and when they did get inside, the liquid stuff killed them all within 24 hrs...

:tumbleweed: heck of a nice day for gardening...man that pickaxe starts getting tough to swing after a bit...the ground is like rock until you break the crust then it falls apart like sugar...i need to get at least 2 feet down today to get the blue nolina in...plus sorting as many of the bermuda grass rhizomes out as possible...slowly winning the war on weeds:biggrin:
