GrnSql.. around here they use 'today' Google earth to compare to yesterday Google earth (??? maybe months or years Idono) and if they can find a change that should have had a building permit cross reference, does not... they comea knocking wanting more than their fair shair plus penalties. AND almost everything requires a BP.. like changing your water heater... here in SE Fla it is. they have time on their side, if they don't get to it til 'tomorrow' the penalty will be that much more.. our govt at work, keeping themselves employed.

During the last billing cycle I caught the town tacking 40 bucks onto my property taxes that for a shed I dont have. The shed is on my neighbors property about 800 yards away from my house, maybe 100 yards off my property line. But what a bunch of BS. They send two people at two different times to make sure I'm not lying to them then they admit their mistake but now Im the one who is supposed to fill out a form to change everything . I told the dept head straight out that they suck and need to get their asses off their heads, that I wasnt filling out any forms and that they need to make the changes. I love it when I get a chance to tell those paper pushing rats to stuff it.

Same thing happened to me...got a letter from the city saying I had to remove things that were on my property. It wasn't even my property and it wasn't my stuff but they assumed it was. They never even did a physical inspection before they sent the letter. Just looked at Google.
If I wasn't growing I'd tell them to fuck off.I wonder how enforceable it would be in a court of law.I'd tell them straight up to go fuxk themselves

Man, it pisses me of when i even read the google-earth bullshit you guys have to deal with!!
It's harassment and 'a show of power' by the US Gov./states while Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase and these criminals have gotten away with the multibillion derivatives-corruption that caused the financial crisis.
Looking at US Gov is like looking Italy where organized crime has huge influence on the gov. They'll hit a normal citizens with the law book every time, while millionaire criminals get a way with just about everything if they're insiders.
There's an obvious rise of corruption and fascism taking place all over the world

The older I get the more Libertarian I become.
You'd think the Government might give you tax rebates so you can install a rainwater collection system with pre-tax money so people can help with water management issues in their area. Everyone likes nice green lawns and pretty flower gardens, why not use the excess spring rain that falls on your roof to help keep them green longer?
Hell.... it'll offset carbon emissions because the plants will be able to store CO2 even better when they're not dead or dying.

Yeah, I was unaware until selling my down spout rain barrels on CO CL. I collected rain water anyway. Dumb statute!!

Now they use google-earth on your arse, and many of you seem to think it's "fairly normal". Google Earth has become a stealth-surveillance system in the USA, no?
In few years they'll prolly make US citizens to have internal passport system, where you need an OK from the government to cross state lines, like in the Soviets back in the day. They'll prolly chip your arses and follow your moments with real time gps.
..while the radiating chip will give you cancer at the same time.

Still, look on the bright side, here in Spain they have just made Sunlight illegal... Solar Panels are now banned, thanks to the "friendship" between Electricity company loosing money/customers, and Government ministers finding out just how costly Yatchts and spoiled kids are.
