Windows buds smell and smoke nothing like yours bro - i know because Ive smoked them both side by side along with Dogons which is hard to tell apart from Windows. Its not just me saying it - Cheesegez thought the same and said as much on here himself.
Yours could be sold as cheese all day long and 99% of folk wouldn't bat an eye lid. If it didn't look so different, id run it again to be sure I hadn't somehow missed something. The smell of the buds now is really nice cheese but it just isn't as potent a stink and the astringent taste in the mouth isn't strong enough.

It would be ok if you had the brightside to compare all these too but you don't you just have your memories... The fact that I've never had the cut doesn't have any relevance - its the buds and smoking them that qualifies an opinion on this. Ive DEFINITELY spent years smoking REAL cheese - you can't not if you live in the town it came from and was in you 20s when it happened - if you can't see the relevance in that to back up my opinion then you really best leave this discussion to others.
In all my years of having cheese, nigh on a decade, have I had Anyone tell me it smelled, tasted anything other than cheese, No one! No doubt in anyone's mind.
I've had people tell me, " mate, I've smoked a lot of cheese but most if not any, has the taste, smell and effect of yours, its banging cheese! " These are people in their 40s -50s even, people who grew up on the acid/rave scene here in the UK, some who most probably attended event's in Luton and beyond, none has ever said, " tastes nothing like cheese " Ever!......apart from Spaventa and Cheesegez.
Even English Rick told me " you're weed is beautiful man, Taste's beautiful, has that chummy ( chummy???) taste that I struggled to get with mine, reminds me of why its called cheese " lol.
Remember, when cheese first came around, the whole country was in a cheese craze and I'm sure many people passed off, many different varieties/hybrids as cheese and this may account for people's differing opinions on what cheese is.

Cheese doesn't have an astringent taste in the mouth, it tastes of black hash.
Only the smell is astringent, more so when trimming, if you trim a room full, its solvent like, gets right up you're nose and can give people headaches.
It can have a vinager type astringency in the jar, I've found.

I spent years smoking cheese - to say i wouldn't know a bud of it now is ridiculous. I haven't drunk a Zinfandel for years but id know one blind instantly, same with a Merlot. I haven't seen people I know for years but i still recognise them when i do see them!
