Just four of the 44 former members of Donald Trump’s Cabinet surveyed by NBC News said they’d publicly endorse their onetime boss in his bid for re-election. “Most” of the officials prompted by NBC News either ignored a request for comment or declined to respond. Only Mark Meadows, a former chief of staff; Russel Vought, Trump’s budget czar; Matthew Whitaker, an acting attorney general; and Richard Grenell, an acting director of national intelligence are supportive of Trump’s continuing political aspirations. Meanwhile, at least two other former Trump officials, Mike Pence and Nikki Haley, are actively running against him in the Republican primary race. Still more are vocally opposed to letting Trump back into the White House. “I have made clear that I strongly oppose Trump for the nomination and will not endorse Trump,” former Attorney General Bill Barr told NBC News. Asked how he would vote if it came down to another Trump-Biden face-off, Barr responded, “I’ll jump off that bridge when I get to it.”

So let's say by some miracle Trump just suddenly decides, "You know what, it's just not worth it anymore, i'm not going to run again". Who does everyone think has the best chance? A few weeks ago that probably would have been a no brainer in favor of DeSantis but i'm not so sure now. He's still number 2 in the polls but he's really been having troubles improving his numbers. In fact they've all stayed pretty stagnent in the polls and I'm not sure that's reflective of anything more then most republican voters just accepting Trump is going to be the nominee. I think if the Criminal in Chief Trump would just do the honorable thing and step down we would see those numbers change radically and we might have an actual race for the nomination on our hands. I'm not sure who I'd pick i don't really know enough about any of them other then none of them have discussed a vision for our country that I would feel comfortable with.

Chumps ex cabinet members could do public service announcements for the Biden campaign.

Realistically, there could be a 'deal' that is the resolution to jail time, Like Tricky Dick That might include staying locked up in his castle. As twisted as it sounds, the TS documents could have been, in Chumps mind, a get out of jail free trading card. If Chump bails there would not be enough time for the party to rally behind a single candidate.

DeSantis is definitely #2.

Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie are the only two running (is Christie running?) who seem to be capable of going after Trump. All of the others refuse to grow a spine.

Vivek Idon'tkbnowhowtospellhislastname is currently being attacked by the Religious Right because he's the wrong religion and totally not because he's brown. Never mind his genius idea of raising the voting age to 25 because the GOP has lost the youth vote entirely.

Tim Scott and Ron DeSanctimounious are having a bitch fight over the high school curriculum, so that'll likely help Scott because it's fucking horrible and I can't believe a Governor is actively trying to inject that bullshit into high school. Seriously?? Slavery helped black folks with job skills?? Holy Fuck! Is Ronnie running for President or Exalted Grand Wizard?

Outside of Trump the GOP really has nobody that isn't Trump Light. And that ain't gonna cut it with his base.

I think the person who ultimately gets the nod is going to be the one who gives the best impression to Trump voters that they are the one who will pardon Trump. Because everybody knows he's going to be found guilty in multiple cases if not all of them.

So again those with half a brain that do vote will see right through it and put Biden back in the White House, provided he makes it that far. And there's no reason to think he won't.

looking likely that "Chump employee #4" may have rolled over on the Fat Bastard. wording in Smiths last addition to charges suggest that, anyway. it's almost as if someone has realized they are neck deep in the shit and The Chump wants to stand on their shoulders to keep his shoes clean...

Oh no doubt, if things stasy as they are now and the Republican party doesn't wake the F up then the Democrats are poised to take back full control, which is fine by me. Out of the candidates running the only one that wouldn't make me too nervous to see win the nomination is the former CIA guy aand former Rep. Wil Hurd. Now i'm not saying i like him or would vote for him he's just the one that seems the most likely be a normal Republican President if he got elected. That's because he's essentially an Establishment Republican, of course for what passes as a Republican voter these days that means he's a RINO so obviously he wouldn't win the nomination. I like that Christie has had the balls to tell it lik it actually is when he talks about Trump but i couldn't trust that fucker any further then i could lift him off the ground let alone throw him.The rest of them i just don't trust for various reasons, but mainly because most of them think if they don't bad mouth Trump they can win the MAGA crowd which tells me they're weak and it would leave me wondering who would really be running the Country if they got in office, it certainly wouldn't be any of them, they would just be someone else's performing monkey.

POTUS cannot pardon offenses prosecuted in state courts. that is why he has been frantic about trying to get them transferred into federal court. so far, he is doing as well at that as he did getting Bidens election overturned, lol...
Do you really think his base his smart enough to know that?

This guy?

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

With 62% of the nation viewing the term "woke" in a positive light, and his wonderful new curriculum, I'm sure he'll do well on the national stage. So I hope he wins the nomination if Trump doesn't somehow manage to not get it because he'll get destroyed too.
