well i'm stretching with the whole neo liberalism is a form of liberalism (i'm using the nested hierarchy approach to political taxonomy lol), BUT liberalism (which is NOT the opposite of conservatism and in fact can go together with it) did lead to neoliberalism which i don't think is compatible with leftism.
put simply as fuck, neoliberals are free market capitalism freaks: ppl like trump and basically all republicans that want deregulation and want the rich to get richer.
'serious' neoliberals are probably on the what WE IN THE U.S. call 'the left' but is still moderate conservatism, the establisment, shitlib dnc love types.
i guess there are serious leftists that are also neoliberals and might think we could get progressive social change through free markets, but that's just stupid so i guess it's a unicorn. r/neoliberal is basically a joe biden (moderate conservative and somewhat of a neolib, despite his kinda nodding at unions) ass kissing sub.
tldr ; conservative and progressive are opposite, not conservative and liberal... and DEFINITELY not conservative and neoliberal (in fact, these days maybe they're synonyms)

There are quite a few areas in my state that were predominantly white that are now infested with illegal immigrants. One neighborhood in particular, you would never know that you were not in Mexico if you drove through there. Doesn’t have much to do with race, everything to do with class.
