Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

Again? That's why he quit last time because he had testified a year earlier and nothing had happened.
I'm guessing this time around he feels like something is going to happen? I know I've seen quite a few Youtube videos floating around featuring him and others you would expect like George Conway for example, all talking about how likely it is Trump will be indicted any day now. Which to me is a big nothing burger. I mean everypne has gotten so worked up over will he be indicted or won't he? Indictment doesn't mean anything more then someone thinks they can make a case against someone and win and yet indictments are made against people all the time and still the prosecution loses. The really question is will they convict? Even then that's not necessarily the end game unless the laws for the conviction specifically say someone convicted of that crime can never hold public office again. Of the charges Trump is facing I think there are one or two that will specifically end his political ambition but apparently not all because I heard some supposed legal expert recently suggest that it's possible Trump could still run for President from a jail cell. I don't know if that's accurate but if it is it just shows you how messed up the system is. People get busted for smoking a bit of weed and find themselves unable to get a job of any real value all the time and who did they harm with their crime?

Which makes you wonder is it the criminal system that's messed up or just people in general? I mean there is no legal enforcement out there making sure people with a record can't work, it's all just a matter of other people who do the hiring making a judgement call and concluding your record marks you as a risk for life. Yet apparently you can commit crimes the like Trump has commited and we all know he's commited and you can still be President just as long as you have enough gullible idiots who think he'll still be a good president who just wants to make the country great again. Even though he never made the country great the first time around, just his bottomline.

I know what you're talking about re: running for President from a jail cell. Nothing in the Constitution prohibits convicted felons from running. I guess the Founding Fathers never realized how stupid we could possibly become.

"You're going to let a convicted felon run the country? Are you mad?! Jimmy, Alex, get over here. We have some writing to do. Fucking lunatics." - John Jay

I recently learned that the person credited with labelling the "mainstream media" was Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propagandist.
Actually the term "Mainstream Media" predates Joseph Goebbels by a couple of decades but he did play a role in giving the Mainstream Media the bad reputation it now has by conflating it with something the German's called Lügenpresse or lying press. Of course that label only stuck in /germany at the time because by the point Hitler anmd his crew used it they had taken control of the media and were therefore the only media in town so to speak.

Near as I can tell it's just been a convenient label to use since then by anyone wanting to cast doubt on anyone promoting an idea or opinion the party making the claim doesn't agree with. I mean why go to the trouble of trying to prove you are correct when you can simply cast doubt on everyone else?

Per several articles, predictions are that there will be an indictment re. Georgia election fraud, etc., , Manhattan fraud case, and others, that a mug shot will be done, but no handcuffs.

Why are we still dealing with indications of special treatment?

One of Trump's attorneys recently reportedly 'lunged' to grab a document out of the hands of an interviewer.

It seems Trump picks attorneys based on his same level of manners, sense of entitlement, and assumption of priviledge.
Having watched it, lunged is a stretch. He did try to grab or knock away some papers he had picked up.

And the there's this.

The lawsuit accusing Trump of raping a 13-year-old girl. 😲

Easy search, Choose your rag.
When I checked I found ths was a rehashing of an old story where the lawsuit was dropped in 2016. The woman claiming she was raped by both Trump and his buddy Epstein,at several parties Epstein held in his private Mansion back in the mid 90;s whuch was when the victim was only 13. She didn't have the money to pay for the lawsuit herself and trued t fule it under a clause they had in California (where she fled the suit) that wouldn't charge people who didn't have the money if they met ceryain other conditions. Unfortunately that clause she was trying to use only applied to civil cases but she filed in criminal court the type of court case aside she didn't meet the other conditions What u;tomately gpt the case thrown out though was that she lied about where she lived by giving the address of an abandoned home that was vacant since the last owners died years vefore the girl filed the case. After the case was thrown out in California she did try to refile the charges in New York but at that point the crime was past ut's statute of limitations and was withdrawn not long after back in 2016.

The victim was one od several women who came forward when Trump first ran for President, all of them claiming one form of sexual assault of another.I could find no story about this case that was more recent then when it was withdrawn in 2016. Which makes it look suspiciously like someone is trying toincriminate Trump again with these old charges. It's kind of unfortunate that the victim trued to beat the system with who would pay for it since she had a witness (also a minor at the time) that was hired by Epstein to help him recruit underaged girls for his sex parties. She was willing to testify for the victim that she witnessed at least two of the four seperate rapes Trump was accused of doing to this girl, one of which also involved another underaged girl at the same time. The victim also had a friend that was willing to testify how the victim told her of the rapes back when they happened. Between her and the gorl saying she witnessed two of the rapes, she had a relatively strong case so it was unfortunate that it was able to be thrown out on a technicality.

If you know of a more current case of Trump being charged for that crime I would appreciate a link since I couldn't find it. In theory the victim should be able to refile even though it's passed it's statute of limitations based on the same law passed recently in New York that allows women a one time exception to refile for old cases since the crime alledgedly happened in New York she should be eligable. That's the same new law that let the other woman who claims Trump raped her in a dressing room (E. Jean Carroll) be able to refile even though her incident was also beyond the statute of limitations.

If any of these claims are true they should be heard in court as rape is a very serious crime that those who commit it don't just suddenly get over and stop doing As it is more about asserting power over someone then it is about the sexual aspect. If either of these rape claims are true there is no telling how many other victims are out there that never came forward because as was calimed by this one girl who was a minor, Trump threatened that if she tried to report him or bring it to court he would have her and her family killed. Obviously she didn't take that to heart but how many other might have kept quiet because they believed the threats?

A perp walk would be nice just to demonstrate that someone like Trump gets treated the same as everyone else but if I'm honest, at this point I'm not all that concerned with seeing a perp walk just as long as there is a day in court where he is either held accountible or cleared due to insufficient evidence (which frankly is hard to imagine at this point).

Yeah I saw it too and it didn't look anywhere near as bad as they made it should by claiming he lunged for them. Looked more like he just wanted to see them so he could figure out an angle to downplay them by. Beyond that moment though he did seem pretty much like the type of lawyer we've come to expect of representing Trump.

He totally reminded me of a guy who pays to get punched in the face repeatedly.

Sure. But I was thinking humiliated by a dominatrix myself.

Oh, and it's now being reported that there is in fact 3 recorded phone calls from Trump to election officials in Georgia trying to overturn the election results. :ROFLMAO:

I would think he'd actually like that. The dominatrix, I mean.

Instead, maybe having the court take his credit cards away, aired on public television, and having Experian release a humiliating decrease in his personal credit ratings to the New York Times and the Enquirer...
