Yeah, they may come clean off the air but they have no remorse for the millions of crazies that they created with the bullshit story that they sold.

no different than politicians. they wear/show one face while in office -for example, being solidly anti-cannabis. then, when they don't need votes, they take jobs in the industry. like...Boehner from Ohio. fucking cowards won't admit the truth when it could be influential.

My favorite quote from the hearing -

The court filing also revealed that Fox News executives had criticized some of the network's top talent behind the scenes. Jay Wallace, the network president, said that "the North Koreans" did a "more nuanced show" than then-host Lou Dobbs.

Faux News hosts did not believe Chumps big lie but they sold it anyway.

Yeah they're down a rabbit hole just like their listeners, only it's not quite the same rabbit hole. They've been reporting republican lies and conspiracy theories for years, even well before Trump, in fact I bet many of Trump's views and beliefs were shaped by Fox news reporting from the 90's. So when Trump took control of the Republican party of course Fox had to fully back Trump and everything he said because his base was essentially their audience and if they wanted to keep doing well as a media business the had to back everything Trump backed. If Trump wasn't in the picture and Sydney and Rudy still pushed the election fraud angle with the voting machines they probably wouldn't have reported it as truth but rather as just how crazy it sounded. Unfortunately since Trump believed all that, they had to go along with it or risk losing their audience for going against Trump. So in essence they were down a rabbit hole of their own making.

Back when it was all first breaking news, there was someone fact checking them in real time. Their reaction should have been "Oh crap, we're reporting lies and we might lose viewers for spreading these lies, we better retract our reporting on this to save face." Unfortunately the real reaction was, that bitch is making us look bad someone get her fired, the company is losing money and the stocks are down."

True. Several accounts say that Hannity and other talking heads had direct lines to Chump. This, like you say, indicates that they had input on the craziness.

If a "news organization" has an input on a government overthrow and directs propaganda that is detrimental to the well being of the country, that is not "freedom of the press". Freedom of the press is the freedom to tell the truth.

Reminds me of strippers too. Putting on the show while they're thinking they've got a live one and how they are pick him clean.

While the forewoman of the grand jury investigating Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia wouldn’t flat out say if Trump’s included in their list of recommended indictments, she sure implied it. “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science,” Emily Kohrs told The New York Times when asked if the jury recommended indicting the former president. “You won’t be too surprised.” Most of the grand jury’s report, released last week, was sealed and jurors were cautioned against revealing anything further. Kohrs, 30, told the Associated Press she’s a “geek about the justice system” and eagerly stepped up to be the forewoman, doing her best to be impartial. She said she found Rudy Giuliani, one of the grand jury witnesses, funny, and Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-GA) surprisingly polite. She revealed that the jury’s list of people they recommended for indictment was “not a short list” but there won’t be a “giant plot twist” if the judge decided to release that list. The grand jury doesn’t have indictment powers, leaving the final decision in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ hands. Nonetheless, Kohrs told the AP, “I fully stand by our report as our decision and our conclusion.”

By saying she found Rudy 'funny' was she more intending to say, 'disgusting', 'perverted', 'as corrupt as they come', 'nauseatingly full of himself', 'deluded to the point of needing psychotropics', or perhaps, 'what an alcoholic scumbag'?? She may have been having one of those moments when accurate articulation is more difficult.

At any rate, step 2 or 3 is done.

Now, can they get a conviction and something other than 5 week-ends at Club Fed as a part-time gardener as the outcome?

I think in Graham's case, 'polite' might be interpretted more aptly as 'weasel' or 'spinelsss'..

Maybe she just meant that she found it amusingly entertaining the way his paint on sideburns would drip down the sides of his face? As for surprisingly polite, you know who else fits that description Fraternity pledges during haze week when they would say "Thank you sir, may I have another?" while bent over and being whacked with a paddle. ;)

Atlanta jury forewoman says indictments were recommended for over a dozen.

" I just want to find 11,780 votes". AMF
Her discussion of her opinion re. where Trump might have gotten the idea that he was exhonerated was hilarious. She avoided violating protocol very eloquently, but it was obvious she was about to explode with energy, humor, etc., and humorously bewildered by Trump-'s interpretation of one aspect (unrelated to him) that part of the report which has been released.

Either the guy has truly lost it, or he's making the poorest effort at deflection I've ever witnessed from a public figure. One or the other. Maybe both..

I don't think he's very intelligent. He cheated to get Ito college. Now he's on his own and doesn't have a circle of people around him telling him what to say.

when he DID have (relatively) intelligent people working for him, he made it a point to ignore/contradict them.

The base is hard core.
That's why they say that the more republikans entering the race the better chance Chump has. He keeps his 25% and they divide up the rest more ways giving him the edge. I got the impression that Nikki Haley was just acting and doing what she was told for that reason.

Aside from being dog butt ugly that woman is as dense as they come.

I think there are many who are tired of loosing and want to distance themselves from the right wing as much as possible.
