That would be the impeachment that got away. I guess it's okay though since he's fixing to lose way more then that when the New York Business fraud case is rulee on in the next few weeks. Or when the 2nd Egene Carroll case is ruled on not long afterwards.
Donald Trump declined to sign a Red Scare-era loyalty oath promising not to advocate for the overthrow of the U.S. government, a decades-old tradition included in the paperwork required to have his name included on the ballot in Illinois. The omission was first spotted Saturday by reporters for WBEZ and The Chicago Sun-Times—which noted that the decision was a first for Trump, who signed the oath in both 2016 and 2020. President Joe Biden’s team slammed Trump in a statement Saturday, writing: “For the entirety of our nation’s history, presidents have put their hand on the Bible and sworn to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States – and Donald Trump can’t bring himself to sign a piece of paper saying he won’t attempt a coup to overthrow our government,” Biden campaign spokesman Michael Tyler said.
Is anyone really surprised? I know I'm not, especially after we all saw how close he came to pulling it off on Jan 6. Well let me restate that, I am a little surprised he didn't sign it, given how he demonstrated with the one in 2020 that he did sign, how meaningless it was when it came to honoring that loyalty oath. I mean the smart move would be to go ahead and sign it with the hope that him signing it might cause some to let theeir guard down. Certainly given his performance on Jan 6, 2021, his not signing it will cause people to keep a close eye on him to see if he goes for a repeat performance.
Well there's a new NFT out as part of the Trump Trading Card Collection. People were asking for something a bit more realistic. This one is titled Trumpfoot - Trumpfootis an inbred cousin to his more famous relative Bigfoot. Virtually the same except Trumpfoot is known for his smaller then average hands and feet and he has a much fouler stench then his more famous relative.

State Attorney General Letitia James is seeking more than $370 million from the former president and his co-defendants in the case, which charges them of fraudulently inflating the value of assets to leverage business deals. The sum, disclosed on Friday in a post-trial brief, is a significant step up from the $250 million originally sought by James. She is also asking that Trump and his sons be permanently barred from running any businesses in New York.

yeah, like either party might vote to convict THEIR parties POTUS given the recent developments...if i was The Chump, and MY lawyers suggested that, i'd be off of this continent by dark, or lunchtime if possible. Dark Brandon has a long reach though. not even Moscow would be safe...

I'm hoping that after these several weeks of being gagged, that he's just going to say screw it and let loose with an epic attack on the judge, the judge's clerk, the judge's wife, DA James, Smith, Biden, etc. Not that they deserve it, it would just be nice to see him wrap it all up by totally losing all self control. Hoefully it will also help wake some of his supporters up by seeing what a pathetic loser he is, but I'm not going to hold my breath...unless of course i find myself in the same room as Trump, then I'll definitely hold my breath.

If they haven't seen what a classless pathetic loser he is by now, they never will. Probably because that makes them pathetic losers too. I do wish Biden would step out of the race though, then at least Trump won't have an easy path to reelection and the subsequent destruction of the US as we know it. If he is reelected, we deserve as a nation what we get for being sooooo fucking stupid.
All the anti-Biden stuff is from Chump's propaganda machine. Biden is no Obama, but he's not a clusterfuck like Chump.
We almost lost our democracy and people want to quibble over Biden. Recovering from what we have been through, it's anybody but Chump and those who refused to call Chump what he is are OUT too. George Conway says Chump is going to jail. That works for me.

only folks doing that are Chumpettes hoping to discourage voters. The Chump has enraged so many groups of voters, it is astounding. NOBODY interested in democracy is "quibbling" over Biden. if it's him VS Chumply, that's not even a question. if Haley beats the orange turd, we've got a real contest. i just wish she had had enough sense to not promise to pardon the orange dickhead...that's the only way she was gonna get those voters though. i never dreamed i'd see a POTUS that deserved jail time more than Nixon. if you live long enough, no telling what you might witness.
Not that any here should need it at this point but if you want to see another example of what a self absorbed, self serving blight on society Trump is and what a colossal embarrassment and disgrace Trump is to his home country of Scottland. I recently discovered this great little documentary. It tells the story of how Trump totally fucked over an old woman and her farmong family that live next door to the Golf Course Trump built there. In the process Trump broke her fresh water supply to her home which has turned her life into a nightmare. It's something Trump could easily fix if he tried but he can't be bothered because he see's them as dirty people undeserving of help, even though at one point when talking in an interview about the old woman Trump said she reminds him of his mother.
I wish the nation knew about this stuff back in 2016, we might have avoided making the terrible mistake we made back then.

My buddy from NYC was screaming from the rooftops as loud as he could that Trump was a shyster and a scumbag back in 2015. But he's just some random dude like you and me.
Like you and me? Oh hell no, nothing like you or me, I mean I can't really speak for you but i think you have to be a better human being then Trump? I'd have to shoot myself on 5th Avenue to see if anyone got upset, if I was anything like Trump. No those of us like your buddy from NYC who have been paying attention the past 3 or 4 decades knew Trump was/is a shyster and a scumbag but not everyone pays attention to the news and even fewer of them remember it for much more then a few months. What I remember so many people who voted for Trump in 2016 were saying were things like, "Oh he's a successful businessman who made Billions in personal wealth. So let's see if he can do better fixing our economy then the typical politician's we get to vote for." Which of course totally ignored the multiple bankruptcies he suffered in Atlantic City with his failed Casinos.
I can't tell if you're actually a Trump fan who thinks you can fool everyone here by calling Trump "a classless pathetic loser" or if you're just one of younger Gen Z voters who can't see beyond the latest political news of America's reaction to What's going on in Gaza? Because with the exception of those two groups (Trump Cult members and Gen Z), no other rational voters think the a match up with Biden will be an easy path to re-election for Trump. By every measure there is Biden has been a far better President for the US then Trump I meaan the only thing that Trump has got right about Biden is that he trips over his words a lot when speaking, which is something he's had troubl wth for most of his life due to growing up with a bas stutter. Fortunately though, how good a President is, isn't judge by how good his speeches are but rather how good his accomplishments are and by every measure imaginable Biden has way outclassed Trump in accomplishments. The only reason Biden doesn't seem as good a president as he should seem is because Trump left the country in such a deep hole that Biden has had to dig us out from that it makes his successes seem less mazing then they actually were/are. I mean on just the economy alone, under Biden the US has gone from surely falling into a terrible recession to where it's now predicted there won't be a recession and where the economy hasn't looked this good since the 60's.
