Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

if "American politics" were broken, we'd have seen things like this happen when Democrats controlled the House

but we didn't

what's broken, very specifically, is the Republican Party
Both parties and our entire government are broken. I’m not a supporter of any democrat or republican. In fact I wish both parties would fail and a party for real working people, not billionaire donors would emerge.

When the democrats controlled congress and the presidency, why didn’t they pass minimal wage or national healthcare laws?

Thanks but that's not a good thing.

Our government is meant to agree.

I know that might be a lot to take.
That statement could use explanation. Our government is meant to represent people. AOC et al were elected on the strength of promises to push the Democratic party to make changes, not to agree with them. She and the rest immediately stood down once Pelosi set them straight. Is this the sort of agreement you're talking about? Better they represent their constituents than just agree with their party leaders. Or no...?

If you want to discuss anything with me you should probably begin using examples instead of narrating an imaginary scenario.

And as for the explanation: compromise is agreement. Representatives should certainly represent their constituency.

Didn't say anything imaginary. I'll just begin however I see fit though. If no compromise is possible, agreement is a betrayal of constituents.

when no compromise is possible, war must inevitably follow

Apparently that's why all of the mental midgets are clamoring for civil war now.

MTG thinks secession is in order, the GOP can't even agree with themselves, and Trump just wants to kill someone.

The fact remains that, even though a few loudmouth idols want to turn it into a reality show, legislative responsibility exists.

AOC and "the squad" had a plan to force House votes on key issues, like healthcare reform, etc, which would force the party members to publicly show their hand as to where they stood. It was all bullshit, as they never employed the strategy, but it would have been a way of building a movement within the party rather than compromising.

You act as if you believe that representatives solely represent their constituency but have no problems with lumping a few together and referring to them as a collective.

I can see what you read just by listening to the shit you repeat.

I don't believe that they represent their constituency. Just that they're supposed to.
They refer to themselves as a collective. It was going to be their strategy.

You don't know a fucking thing about what I read. I notice as usual you didn't actually have a response to my point.

My response to your post is that you have bought a precanned narrative and need for it to be true.

You don't believe that you have imagined anything because you hope whoever canned it knew what they were doing.

I know a lot more than you think I do about what kind of bullshit you believe.

You can play the oracle savant if that's your thing. But you still didn't give a response to my point, regardless of where you think I got it.

You still seem to think that you aren't imagining anything but can't be bothered to give any examples.

PS I responded a few times but it's normal for you to ignore me.
