what's funny about this statement is the people who would be affected the most if abortion were to be illegal are the families of pro-lifers.

teens from the south have the highest rate of teen pregnancy, repeat teen pregnancy, and if they weren't shutting down so many clinics down there they'd probably be using family planning and abortion services at an inflated rate too.

illegals pay an annual $9 billion in payroll tax. 50%-75% of illegals file and pay taxes (2015 data showed they paid nearly $30 billion in taxes) and are only eligible for emergency medical services, emergency nutrition programs for women and children, and schooling for children. so in other words they are paying into the system more than they are taking out.

You don't seek asylum by hoping a border. Their are 9 consulates in Mexico where you can apply for asylum. Without having to use coyotes , and expose the kids to human traffickers, drug traffickers. I think the child separation issue Is blown way out of proportion and instead of kicking the can down the road trump is actually doing something to fix the situation. I think that both sides agree that its immoral to separate families but most of us on the right believe in personal accountability and dont try to blame our situations on happenstance.

actually i'm fairly indifferent to the ideas of a border wall or stricter immigration laws. i simply see no point to it economically or socially, as immigration is not even close to a top issue this country faces and a wall would be just another waste of taxpayer dollars. peak US immigration happened under bush 2, and reagan gave amnesty to tons of illegals by the way. and neither of those idiots are hard leftists.
