The Canadian people subsidize the milk industry in Canada by paying higher prices at the point of purchase. The US government subsidizes the US milk industry and the people pay for it with the taxes they pay.

Canadian farmers can't overproduce or underproduce or they are fined. Canadian milk producers do pour milk out into the fields.

Trump isn't the only president to complain about Canada's milk tactics. Obama did and so did other presidents.

I had several occasions crossing from El Paso to Juarez. Once in a while we would get a case of beer in Juarez where it was cheap and sit on the bridge over the Rio Grande.
