as do I, I like all colors least of all my own white as we seems to be most viscious aggressive and well crazy, but we all have our place. We are all one hopefully we can realize that, and on that note I want to rip into anyone who is proud to be a Trump Voter, but the one brief thing he did in Syria that should have went a lot further to stop slaughter I applaud him for.. like I said, I wanted to be irritated, not quite "confrontational", let's face it the environment and lots of important issues that need to be aggressively addressed NOW won't be but ugh... forcing it out of me.. I want to say to this packers fan or something similar that you actually made some good points, oh now I have to go back and look up what those were, but thanks and if I remember ( I honestly don't remember where I put something I touched like a minute ago so don't hold your breath) I will read again as that one or two posts deserve that much.

Thanks for having an open mind. I thought this thread got closed. I need to avoid these threads I get to pissed about politics.

Update: After meeting with Sessions, Colorado gov thinks AG unlikely to crack down on marijuana

Gov. John Hickenlooper tells The Cannabist AG Jeff Sessions "couldn't have been more emphatic" about legalization being a bad idea, but also understood that Colorado's marijuana laws are the will of the voters

By Alicia Wallace, The Cannabist Staff

Following a face-to-face meeting with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said he doesn’t think a federal crackdown is imminent for his state or others that have legalized cannabis.

Hickenlooper shared some details of his meeting this week with Sessions in Washington, D.C. during an appearance Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Meet the Press Daily” with host Chuck Todd and in a follow-up interview Thursday with The Cannabist.

“We wanted to understand his frame of reference on both cannabis and immigration,” although cannabis dominated the conversation, Hickenlooper told The Cannabist.

Wednesday’s hour-long meeting was held at the request of the Colorado governor, who was traveling to D.C. for the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership’s 9th Annual Capital Conservation Awards Dinner.

Hickenlooper was among four governors from legal marijuana states who recently wrote an open letter to Sessions and the Secretary of the Treasury asking they engage with them before “embarking on any changes to regulatory and enforcement systems.” Sessions has, in recent months, reiterated his opposition to marijuana legalization but has not issued a formal enforcement policy.

Sessions was receptive to keeping the lines of communication open, Hickenlooper said, adding that a policy position appears to be in the works.

“He’s obviously reviewing the Cole (Memo),” Hickenlooper said. “(They’re working on) a version of that that makes sense for this administration. We’ll have to see how far they go.”

Hickenlooper described Sessions as “direct,” “straight-forward” and “honest.” And while the attorney general “couldn’t have been more emphatic” about legalization being a bad idea, he also understood that Colorado’s marijuana regulations came to be because of the will of the voters.

As such, Hickenlooper said, he doesn’t believe Sessions will come down on legal marijuana states from an enforcement standpoint.

The Colorado governor extended an invite for the attorney general to get a first-hand look at his state’s regulated marijuana industry. To that, Sessions simply smiled, Hickenlooper said.

In Wednesday’s “MTP Daily” appearance, Hickenlooper said the former Alabama senator and prosecutor made clear his anti-drug stance and his concern about a trend toward more drug consumption.

“But he certainly listened,” Hickenlooper said. “We (in Colorado) haven’t seen a big spike in consumption. We haven’t seen a significant increase in teenage consumption or any of these things.

“And he certainly was very direct and clearly said they’ve got a lot of priorities. And, at one point, he said, ‘Well you haven’t seen us cracking down, have you?’ I said, ‘No.'”

Hickenlooper said he interpreted that to mean the drug enforcement priorities for the Department of Justice rest with substances such as heroin, methamphetamines and cocaine.

“It doesn’t mean that he feels in any way that he should be cutting any slack to marijuana,” he told Todd.

Hickenlooper said he described Colorado’s approach to marijuana legalization, and how the state is accumulating data and using tax revenue to support law enforcement efforts against illegal activity.

“We’re spending $6 (million) to $10 million to support the U.S. attorney (in Colorado) but also local law enforcement to make sure that if there are illegal grows in Colorado and that marijuana is going out of state, we’re going to nail them; we’re going to prosecute them,” he said.

State legislation was introduced this session to fund law enforcement and prosecution costs to clamp down on gray- and black-market marijuana activity and to impose plant count limits so as to help prevent diversion out of state or to the black market. The governor is expected to sign both bills.

Hickenlooper also seemingly proved influential in state lawmakers’ moves to scrap proposals that would have broadened Colorado’s regulations and allow for social pot clubs and marijuana home delivery.

Hickenlooper told The Cannabist last month that if he were to speak with Sessions, he would explain his opposition to legalization and his oath to the state constitution. He said he would argue that “the country has potential benefit to be able to see this experiment through to a natural conclusion. Let’s go a couple more years and see and get more data and really see, ‘Are we worse off or better off than we were before?'”

Hickenlooper told Todd that he made those points and others to Sessions.

“He certainly understood that we’re trying to pull together data, and he’s a pretty strong supporter of states being laboratories of democracy,” Hickenlooper said. “He is very clear. He is anti-drugs in all forms and he’s not going to, in any way, encourage anyone to start a marijuana business to think it’s a great idea to do or even safe to do so.”

“That being said,” Hickenlooper continued, “he didn’t give me any reason to think that he is going to come down and suddenly try to put everyone out of business.”

Nice!!!

So that 10,000,000 is a one time deal or scheduled payment? Prob. Monthly but.... two tears in a bucket!!! Fuck it!!haha

It prob only covers Colorado since it only mentioned it was gonna be spent there?

The other two same deal?

That's a fair price and only gotta throw him the bones of the lames that don't already have thier tunnels dug, to keep the squares in the matrix.

Now that we got passed that we can quit playing games! What's it gonna cost for California? Not just the canna deal. for it all? Lames included?

2,000,000 monthlys?.

I'd prefer 4 year bundles of course. Re-negotiation with some guarantees after each election I think is fair.

Still too early though it is a great sign. What about that private prison money? There's not enough lames to fill them. Whatever happens it's gotta come out of thier end. They'll eventually fleece us if you start playing that game.

rec or just med? Rec will help with the body count. Make it look cleaner.

I wonder if he has any dignity and try's to negotiate a something to not only stop funding legalization in states that haven't yet passed anything or even require help to keep it from passing anything?

If he really does hate cannabis and wants to feed on his flock of sheep forever? That will take care of keeping them prisons full. Win/win!

Hopefully for them he's like everybody else and only loves money and power. But really.... you reap what you sow? Right?

Monsters gotta eat! Its usually the ones that fall behind or have thier head... you know where.

Still time to catch up or pull their head out....

Cant really worry about anybody but oneself these days.

Good news is good news so we should celebrate! Plenty of time to hammer out all the little details manana! Que no?

Yesum!!!!

Hey you! Was that to me or..... thought I'd ask? Because I didn't think I'd ever get that answer to that question you never saw? Didn't wanna be accused of bullying so I just left it alone, but since you've made yourself unavoidable, I figure I can ask about it?

To answer your question.... I gotta say no. Still to much to need more. 5 criminal investigations at a time is good. You are aware of the new one? Yeah, the pentagon announced a new investigation today?

So.... how bout it then?

EDIT: just noticed "lefties" so I guess it wasn't to me. I don't have any ear piercings! If I had to though... it would for sure be on the left side!

Not that there's anything wrong with wearing it on the right! I don't care about anyone's sexuality!

Good find vta, some of us foresaw this position from them despite some minimal rhetoric.

Some were genuinely worried and that's understandable every time there's a power change. The media as usual stirred up quite a frenzy over nothing. They are the real enemy of the people.

I hope they take a serious look at the drug scheduling and set it straight with the real nasties at the top and at least significantly lowering cannabis. That's would be a good start.

Time to find something else to bash Trump about eh? Come on lefties you can do it!

Now that I think about it...couple things to be pointed out:
The right has been hitting him as much if not more than the left lately, and certainly more decisively! At least on a Congressional level...
AND
If what your post is referring to is the left hitting trump over appointing sessions...well...this is no reason to let him off the hook. If he is going to restart the drug war machine and go punitive rather than education and rehabilitation then he is still a fukn disaster...
So maybe you'd care to elaborate or was it just a pointless dig at your personal opposition?

Topheavy420: Great point, Trump was probably positioning for leverage against states who are so far fighting against his main objective. But it was pretty dumb on his part though. Because it was a no win battle for him from the start

I mean.... does anybody think he's gained leverage by letting his appointee make threats but then get called on his bluff? Besides him of course! I don't. But I'm not as insightful as others.

Lets see how it works on North Korea? Hopefully your right. A little leverage could go a long way with this nut ball. It is the same tactic, right?

The answer to the question is: 40 pages of worry and whining over a few words from Trump's lap dog or Keebler elf. Get a life.

I should have said loons and lefties, the only ones all tore up about Trump or Sessions. You do not have to like either but not a problem for folks here on this board.

Let me know when he gets impeached. I am sure it will be soon hahahahaha The repubs have been a joke for a long time now, not a problem that many do not like Trump imo. He is kooky and some of his stances- asset forfeiture- but when I think of Hillary...

It would be nice to be able place bets on how things were gonna turn out. Exact descriptions of the outcome only. We could put in an escrow and wait till pre negotiated dates to check the results. Other wise it's gonna be easy to say "I knew it" and too easy to go through and prove they didn't know quite as much as they are letting on. I mean, all I got to do is find the slightest amount of worry, a scentence ending in "hope I'm right" and I can easily prove they're not being honest.

Now if I trusted them enough to be honest I'd take thier word, but I have NEVER not been able to find the HONEST TRUTH, not thier true feelings, but the honest truth, I wouldn't even bring this up, but people don't have good enough memories or they don't care enough about the words they use to make sure they can't be made to look stupid with minimal effort.

My problem is I have almost a photographic memory, not quite but it's crazy good, when it comes to what I've read and what I wrote.

So it's easy to know were to look and what position I should never take! Not because I like to be consistent, although it is a part of it, it's to try and never look stupid while making someone even stupider look smart.

Yup weak presidents have lead to a nuclear North Korea, and Iran. Nice to have a president who has enough balls to fight these despotic dictators, you leftists love so much. Obama's weakness has put us on the path to world war 3.

Your definition of weak/weakness is obviously different than mine. I can't speak for the "leftist" and "you" doesn't help much either. But you seem unable to say anything to anybody unless they can be lumped together. The only people I know that do that speak into tv cameras. Which makes sense because they have a large audience and have agendas to push. I've never had a conversation with anybody that does that in real life.

I don't wanna assume so I'll ask, are you a public speaker?

Do you sit behind a news desk?

It's almost like your watching too much Tv. Or listening to too much talk radio. I can't get enough either but it's real important to think about what they say before posting what you see or hear. Obviously there's many reasons to think about it but one reason is so that when you post what you hear it's obvious but when you think and it becomes yours and sounds like yours. you don't have to worry about sounding full of shit because you won't be.

Lemme see if I can help you out.

You said your from middle America. Correct? You called the real Americans I believe. And the people on the coast were lefties? You said those on the coast live on top of each other in highly populated cities. And the real Americans live in the rest. There are just as many of us you went on to say but you and your people live spread out. Am I close?

Well I'd like to know how you are so in tune with what the "lefties" love? Or anything the "lefties" do?

Being that you live so spread out from everybody else?

Not to mention everybody else being a "rightie"?

I'm being nice packer fan. To prove it I'll give you a warning before you answer.... so be honest. It's a trap for fools but the truth can set you free!

I'll go beyond nice... I'll be a saint. I've prob read everything you've posted in the last
7-9 months.

So it's completely up to you. Read and think real hard about everything you've posted and the questions I asked you or.... don't read anything and just be honest?

I'm not sure how fast you can read so I'll give ya time but if you ain't got an answer in what...... 12hrs? 24hrs? 48hrs?

How's 48 whole hours?

choose them words wisely.

Or pretend you never saw this post and maybe I'll let this quietly slip into history. Or maybe I won't?

BTW....your post is my definition of weak.

Pushing this off on somebody else is WEAKNESS!

Also what you see as having balls is hilarious! Actually... that was uncalled for. Sorry. I shouldn't assume you had a positive male role model( who was also properly taught what it means)growing up. Having balls is more that just a definition. It requires explanation or a demonstration for a kid to grasp the concept.

I was raised to believe accepting resposability takes balls!

Do you think shooting someone takes balls?

How about pushing a button?

How about ordering young men to die because you have big balls?

You are kinda right about trump having balls? Because ordering American soldiers to put thier life on the line for someone who doesn't feel the need to prove he's not puppet for a foreign government takes BALLS!!!

Backing a man that would bo that takes balls too!

Any veterans care to speak more about this? Maybe I'm off?

I look at the whole thing like this: I survived the Reagan years, the 1st Bush years, the Clinton years, the 2nd Bush years, etc. I survived living in Alabama with its Dark Ages drug policies, I've survived Florida and its draconian policies. And I'll survive Trump and his demented little Keebler elf Jeff Sessions.

While I do feel for my brothers that may have their legal status revoked, or limited, or whatever may happen, I will continue on as I always have.

Legalization would be nice. It would be great to not be considered a criminal for growing a freaking plant, but I can continue as I have done indefinitely.

No matter what they do, they have not managed to stop me and they can not stop me. I've played this game for a long time, I know the rules and how get around them.

Nothing changes for me. I will still do what I do, and I see no reason not to.

So instead of worrying about what Trump and Sessions will, or won't do, I will concentrate on what I always do. It's worked for me this long, I see no reason it won't work going forward. It is what it is. There is no other choice but to deal with it.
