no seeds came from the pollenation, pollen didnt survive the trip here.

oh well no biggy I now have 2 very interesting seed stocks of old original Skunk lines gifted to me by a breeder here. I will start work verry soon.

sorry I didnt update with more pics of my Skunk#1 '89, my cam broke on me, but I do have pics of close up nugg shots of the SKUNK#1 and the Deep Chunk both at day 60.

I will cross these 2 plants soon, the outcome should be amazing.

Truly a shame that the Pollen didn't take. :-(

I now have Skunk#1 x Skunk#7 and Pure Garlic Skunk#1, these seeds are old as hell and from the best source, i just hope i can get them to sprout!! wish me luck!!!!

They are trying to preserve the original 'roadkill' smell of the earlier skunks. Even Sam has breed his skunk for sweetness, because the earlier versions stank so much Cops could smell it through walls. That it is why the strain was called 'Skunk' to begin with. You stank like a 'dead skunk' as soon as you opened the bag.

Along with trying to find new exciting phenos hidden within old Skunk stock from the early yrs when there was still quite a bit of variation. It is my goal to make a truely superior stable Skunk#1 by selecting similar and different phenos then the SK#1 we all know that is sold today. You never know what plants you may end up with, so the only thing I can do is try. So sit back and watch the show, I see very good plants in the near future.

if you keep pounding out s1 stock from the mother of this skunk you got sooner or later THERE WILL BE A MALE.
nature works in funny ways but there definately will be one eventually! it may be in the 1st batch or it may be in the 100th but it will and does accur all the time best of luck with your project

yeah it happens on a regular basis! people are always saying they found a male in there femmed beans, it would definatley be the best way to go around finding a candidate for icc to carry on the bloodline of this strain!, it would be a male of the exact genetic structure because it is a copy of itself therefore that might just breed it true right away anyway, damb am i fooookin fryed or have i just figured a possible way to super breed ??? lmfao

Hey bro, S1 seeds are being made now, and yes I have thought of it and was planning to do so, but I wanted to keep it natural and Regular so it would be easier to maintain. As for S1 seeds being exact copies of the mother, not really, when you make S1 seeds it is kinda like making the next generation cross. So, you will see some variation if your strain wasnt 100% stable to begin with, and this one seems to be a recessive Sativa Dominant Skunk#1 I might loose a lot in making S1s, BUT then again it could be very stable, I will make the S1s and find out.

About the Male popping up, I might get a hermie but never a full blown male bro. There is no male Y chromo present, so having a full male would be against nature. But even then, this strain has never thrown 1 male anything, nanner, ball, flower, nothing unless I use chemical intervention. The process I use to make FEM seeds is a very stable one and to date has never thrown a male plant nor a hermie, of the strains I used to make FEM seeds. It all has to do with what you make FEM seeds of, if the hermie gene is in your plant that you want to S1 then you very well could get Hermies from those seeds.

We need to do more testing on the hormones that also effect sexual representation of cannabis, the ones that allow chemically forced sexual reversal possable. To be sure more genetic testing needs to be done to give actual facts on the breeding of S1 seeds and what genes they actually contain from the mother and to see if any dominant genes have changed.

I will be starting another tread very soon about the Skunk#1 seeds I was able to obtain and I will be crossing into my Skunk#1 1989. And making IBLS of the Old Skunk lines I have found.

maybe there some sort of chemical to reverse females into males???

Does anyone here know what the original was REALLY like? Its advertised as 75% sativa so i figure it must have mostly sativa traits such as tall and lanky. Long buds. Light green leaves yellowing towards harvest. Sweet fruity smell. Longer flower time (60+ days). Up high. Over the years there has been a variation of the strain. Showing different characteristics of the different mix of genetics bred into this hybrid. What i have is pretty close to that. But im 60 days in flower and i have some time to go. The longer it takes for the flowers to mature the more sativa pheno i have. 70-90% i figure by the looks. The pheno everyone raives about from FDM i think is closer to 60% sativa by the descriptions ive read. So cross your fingers and hope your seeds express the traits you desire.
