Two years or so ago Mota was selling SSSC 89 Skunk #1 beans. look him up, I'm sure he could dig something up somewhere. I missed them and never tried hard enough after that.
can someone explain what TFD is/means please? sorry for the ignorance.

i will be hitting the one clone with pollen in 14-21 days, depending on how the buds develope. She is getting large and bud set is taking hold. I will take some pics today.
the other 9 clones are vegging for another 10 -14 days before they will be put into flowering they will be pollenated by a different source of Skunk#1 pollen said to be from 1987 male. I will continue looking for seeds and pollen until there is a perfect match. The Preservation of this Skunk#1 89' must continue until it is perfect. I want to share this one for sure,, would be a total loss if no one else gets her.
My Skunk#1 89' has a hell of a stretch, ending around 3x its size when flowered or more., nothing like the indica dominant versions. Very sweet with strong skunky undertones, it is more the sativa side of Skunk#1. Very small leaves with huge buds ,, almost no trim. Logically, it shouldn't even grow like this,,, LOL.

cross that mother to a good skunk#1 and then backcross to that female
Do You think if you could get a clone and stress the hell out of it like putting it in very cold temps and or stuffing with the light cycle during flowering may bring on male flowers ?
hey buddy, island sweet skunk was brought to bc in the 70's . it was an og california skunk #1. its yields, smell and potency still please everyone. i dont know if sam has worked with it or knows more history on it. but its been bred on vancouver island for over 30 years and is available from vancouver seed bank and in seed co in vancouver. another option you have is take cuttings, buy some "stamenit" , and make all female seeds from your lil guys.
ive never read that, to my knowledge, the iss is pure, totally mostly sativa, i have 1 o.d. and 3 indoors. its very old old school skunk, never hybridised, its sweet like the name, not sour like the 90"s skunk craze. if you love yer 89er, iss is og cali sk1 from war vets who moved to the bud capital. its very nestalgic for me too, thats why i keep it around. monster dense nugs for a almost pure sative;-) i think jordan and federation offer it too. ive grown grapfruiut, it aint 100%Well shit, you know that makes me wonder about my heritage of my Skunk#1,, i knew about ISS before but never thought about the fact that mine came from a breeder in BC. It is unknown if he may have used the ISS to make this version of SK#1, as he prolly had access to it,,, But he did specifically say the seeds I got where Pure Offspring from Skunk#1 89' Mother and Father. So, i guess I just might have to look at the ISS for a match point, as it seems to be more on the Sativa side like mine.
Humm, the Island Sweet Skunk available from Next Gen, states that the genetics are:
Genetics: Skunk, Grapefruit Indica, mostly sativa
Not Pure Skunk#1,, not really what I am looking for,, unless there is another Pure Skunk#1 version of ISS. What about PURE CHEESE? The UK SK#1 clone? Damn i just want to find some old ass seed stock from some PURE SKUNK#1. I hope the pollen I am getting will produce what i am looking for. I will update every week from now to keep you updated on her flowering progress.
