Wait. He pays half the upfront cost.... and you do all the work.... take most of the risk... and he gets 40%? That's whacky. Tell him he gets 25% of two harvests or 50% of one. And then done.

ultimately this partner was guilty of poor security, maybe a bit of laziness-procrastination so i cant judge him, im partial to a lax approach myself ....

he was the provider of a great location, and i was bringing in equipment and sours... i never questioned him about the locks on the double steel doors, i trusted he had that dialed in...

tallying up the losses, well the theft losses rested solely with me and my equipment, and the rent i payed, improvements invested in the room...

since he remains there, he is bearing the load of worry on future rips etc... i have strongly recommended he close up that shop, but hes in that predictament where all of his money was spent there, and he needs a pull in order to afford the move...he needs to think this thru and let go of his attachment to that spot, its way too hot !!!
