Cool... Lookin pretty good so far Tri_com_e. Be careful not to let em get too dry between waterings. dryish is good not dry tho... I know I keep saying the same shit over and over (sorry bout that) but as always dont hurry. Be sure you get through a proper veg especially because youre topping. I never flip EVER before at least 30 solid veg days has happened. That gives your girls time to mature so they can produce the best possible buds... I know many people flip sooner but I see more serious growers always give proper veg time...

Oh yea, I'm doing this right, no worries. I've come this far, no reason to skimp now.

I'll do my best to help. I'll start by letting you know that thermometer sitting on top of the light will give you very inaccurate readings. Get that situated near the tops of plants during your grow. In a tent with limited space I may stick a dowel rod in a pot and tape the thermometer to it moving it up as plants grow. Just one suggestion. And I know we touched in it but DEFINITELY don't go from the solo cups to the 5 gallon pots. Id go solo to one gallon to three then five. I must say 5 gallon pots seem pretty big for that tent. Remember, quality not quantity throughout your grow. Bigger doesn't always mean better.

maybe i was lucky i went from coco pallet to 8x8 (cm) to 6 liter directly and they handled it like a boos:woohoo:

I use a wide plastic bottom where i simply add water in (also works as a runoff water catcher you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgK8MRSjLqc works wonderfully for me it raises the moist in the air between 6-9% which is perfect for me!! don't know how much you need though

I started to do that, but it didn't seem to affect the relative humidity as much as I thought it would and it seemed messy. I have better luck with the wet towel and occasionally mist them pretty heavily.

Thanks for checking my diary out!

Things are looking real good for a first grow, and you have been getting some great advise from the guys. Potting up from cup to 1,3,5 gallon lets you get a serious root ball for absorbing the nutes. As I'm sure you have noticed roots in dirt shoot for the bottom of the 10% of the pot and render the top portion almost useless, that causes issues with over watering. When you let your plant get almost root bound before you transplant your creating a thick and solid root ball in the whole pot. Bigger Roots equal bigger fruits, take care of those and keep them healthy and you can bring a near dead plant back from a few mistakes. If you have a weak root system and something happens she's a lot more likely to die on you. Mycro will defiantly help out your roots big time , I don't grow without it. It's one of the few supliments that will give you visually bigger and healthier roots. Give it a shot some day on one plant and not the other and you'll never look back.

I would try to give them a shot of food and see if they take a big jump on you, if they have a big growth spurt they are hungry, seems like something is causing a little bit of slow growth there and those veins seem sunken with a bit of saw tooth going on, could be the strain or could be low ph. Or could be nothing.

Looks like your having fun and learning lots and that's all that matters. Best of luck !

Appreciate the positivity man! Keep following along and see how they finish!

To be honest, I have been feeding very lightly because of my soil having nutrients already. I have been using 1/4 strength MaxiBloom occasionally. I just want to KISS and not burn anything and all that. I'm not 18, living in my parents basement, and hoping for a pound dry from one plant. I'm not trying to pump these girls too much. Better safe than sorry.

I still have flower to go and plan on getting a little more aggressive then.

I read the whole thread and you have a good game plan. I'm not familiar with that soil mix but that's a good plan, If your worried about burning them you can use a little Alaska fish fertilizer. All organic and full of nitrogen. The stuff stinks but the plants love it.

Maxi bloom, like the 5-15-14?
You want maxi grow for veg bro 10-5-14.(never used it and the last number seems to high for my likens in veg but it's got the nitrogen you need) and it's there recomended veg fert

Yep, MaxiBloom in veg. It's the Lucas method.

Hum. To each his own I guess. The numbers seem odd for a plant that's chewing through nitrogen but not phosprous but plants are pretty versatile. I'm gonna read into that a bit before I comment further. Thanks tri cho me

I just spent the last few hours reading about the kiss method, sounds to good to be true but I'm defiantly going to give it a try beside some other plants. There will be 3 sets of 3 test subjects. My normal routine, kiss and kiss with added nitrogen.might as well throw 3 more organic plants in there as well.

...They're both starting to put out a good pot smell (I dont know how else to describe it). Almost how a tomato plant smells, but more sweet...

Yeah, but how's the stem rub? That's where it's at. (At least until you have some sticky-stinky-greasy-flowers!)

Great idea to forgo the SCROG for now. Some topping and LST. Should do you fine.

Fine work, Tri_Cho_Me!
