Good thinking. I assure those are nowhere close to root bound yet. I'd say you're good to transplant now or in a few days. Again I'm pushing mykos on ya. It'll really help in the transplant. Once you do growth may stunt for a few days then you'll see an explosion of growth. Just be careful removing from cups. Cut the cup with a scissors to loosen it. Make sure your transplant soil is nice and moist with fresh soil and don't be afraid to start with nutes. Go 1/2 or 3/4 strength. You'll be fine!!!! Lookin good
Are there drainage holes in those cups?
Those roots are still getting established. Be careful watering and feeding those are big pots for those roots man.
First stop thinking about moving up in pot size...
They’re coming along nicely Tri_Cho_Me.
But I agree with chomsky here:
And I agree with his point about veg. You’re forgetting the seedling stage. Personally, even though possibly reaching a point of veg when in SOLO cups, I still always consider the whole time in SOLO as the seedling stage. For me, veg begins when I transplant to one gallon and put the babies under MH. (Not sure when the technical transition from seedling to veg is said to happen.) And you don't want to do that until you have a very well established root ball. Yours could've (and should've) gone longer in the cups.
One of the hardest things about starting out is learning to let your babies do their own thing in their own time. You want them to rush; but you don’t want to rush them. It’s hard, I know.
Good luck as you move forward!

Think mine could properly go another week in those (homemade pots),
Butt my question is... is transplanting into 10 litre pots going to be a problem as iv read i should go up in pot sizes.. iv only grown autos and you start them off in there intended finishing pots

Sorry to hijack the thread..
Are you feeding your seedling? If so how much ml per litre?
Now i feel responsible when I said you might want to transplant soon because of the way the top part of the plant was growing. I'm sorry
From the looks of the top part of plant I thought they would have had a more robust root system. Lesson learned for me (don't judge a book by its cover)
Thank you for waking that play by play thread from seed to seedling by Shmavis
