cockfighting is THE sport all around the pacific rim, & has been popular here in the states since before we WERE 'the states". fucking roosters fight regardless of whether or not you stand around & watch them. what i DO NOT agree with, and find barbaric, is the addition of stainless razor sharp spurs instead of the birds using what God gave them to settle disputes with. gamblers went to those because fights were over quicker (with lots of dead birds) & more time for matches/gambling. THAT i do not agree with.
Nice taproots on my prayer tower, I'm excited. Only grow once a year to my head. Also popped prob the biggest seed I've ever seen, it's about 3/16" to 1/4" Sensi NLA... it's like a little mouse testicle. I'm sure you guys have seen bigger tho, that's what she said...
addedndum...just taken some pulls off my vap bag, have some Allman Brothers on, digging on Blue Skies, and a tear comes to my eye as I remember where and when I learned that Daune Allman died.
I will tell you a tale of a hungry hawk and a fortunate flicker.
New Years day. . . grey and mist shrouding mountain house. . . sitting by the fire in the late afternoon.
Suddenly a WHOMPPPP on the window startled me from the fireplace and its mesmerizing sizzle.
Got up and went to open the glass door of the sunroom and beheld a large hawk and also impressively sized flicker laid out on the deck near the glass door. . . the hawk was beautifull, but taking its last breaths, did not last 5 minutes.
The flicker was in shock, with 2 places on its body with tufts of feathers out of place, where the hawks talons had held it.
I scooped up the flicker, put it in a cardboard box and place it in the sunroom for about an hour. When I went out again, it was revived. I placed the box outside and the flicker flew away to the ponderosas.
Am guessing the hawk thought it could pull out of its dive but miscalculated. The episode made me ponder the inevitability of a similar fate for those that seek to harm their fellow humans. Even if it is common practice in the kali yuga.
