I have not, the descriptions are impressive;
“A Bright Shining Lie” opens with an incredible scene, Vann’s funeral, full of Washington power: Senator Edward Kennedy and the Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg were in the pews; pallbearers included the former commander of United States forces in Vietnam, William Westmoreland, and a future head of the C.I.A., William Colby. Seated up front were Vann’s widow, Mary Jane, and his four sons.

One of the reasons we’ve been so active in the ME is to keep the Arab world and OPEC from pricing oil in yen, or ryu, or euros, keep that extra economic leverage (part of the Big Stick) in play.

Once we step wrong enough, the world economy could shift drastically and suddenly, leaving us a retirement home for the nation’s wealthy, who farm us for rents like a farmer farms sheep, and for whom we’ll have to work if we don’t want to starve.

Anyone who can contemplate this stuff, imagine it being put into motion, imagine what it takes to lie professionally and lie for decades to hide it - I don’t see how anyone could look at this and miss the rocket-ride we’re on to a future of corporate panarchy: government of the people, by the servants and appointees of the Philosopher-Kings, for the Philosopher-Kings.

Private government. At it’s inverted, scientological “finest”.

I always wondered, where is it written that Chinese children are ordained by Fate, to sit in factories & make toys for American children ?

The only reason I give UFOs one itsy bitsy nano femtogram of attention is because of Mr. Sheehan's arguments. I still think he's wrong, but on geopolitics he's clear and as convincing as can be. (He's clear on UFO conspiracies also but..... I just can't buy into that at all. Smart people can be way wrong, regardless of the evidence, just like anyone.)

Given the timing, one might suggest the Chicago boys.
Was fortunate to have spent a good deal of time in China before we shipped all the jobs over there.

It was a beautiful and pristine place.
We used to be in a lot better shape back then.

Ahh yes, the days before the stated intent to harm
democracy so that it could be weakened enough to rinse down
the drain.

Danny's extraordinary involvement with some of the more amazing
legal cases in our liifetimes, have given him access to information
that very few people at any level get to see.
Have to say that he addresses subject matter far above my grade or pay.

The two most impressive things of a flying nature that I saw are found in the air and space museum:
The balloon bombs sent over by Japan.
A small sled like device with a single blade on it. When towed by a Uboat with a 300 meter tether, it would lift an observer about 200 feet up giving them a very decent over the horizon advantage with out the need to use radar.

Am aware the agency spent an unbelievable amount of money
on dystopian literature in the fifties, to the point they all but financed
what we came to call science fiction.
Some one wisely said if a toymaker can make a frizzbee for fifty cents, imagine what the aerospace industry could do with a budget.

Definitely worth the time and effort to listen to and digest that video. Thank you, Gry! As this is from a series of lectures, I will catch up.

For those who haven’t put it together, Dan Sheehan is the man who wrote “A Bright and Shining Lie” whose name I couldn’t call to mind in my earlier comment.

If there was a reference to UFOs in that lecture, I completely missed it. For myself, I consider the UFO question to be a distraction: the truth or falsity of it plays no role in my life for good or ill (AFAICT). If it turns out to be material to my situation, that will of course be a different situation.

I *DO* believe we are not alone in the universe, but that’s another matter entirely
