todays Rasmussen poll numbers (these are "likely voters" not all Americans.)
50% approve, 49% disapprove. of those, 37% strongly approve, 41% strongly disapprove. this is a approval index of -4, per Rasmussen. hardly a mandate for him...:tiphat:

In a 2 party system, it's rare for any president to get over 50%.

Trump Supporters Abandon Fox News

"Last may an Economist/You Gov survey asked , Do you think Donald Trump has or not ever lied to the American people ? 19 % of US adults said he had never lied .
Among Trump voters 40% said he had never lied ."

There is hope in the other 60% I spose ?

The truth , the whole truth and nothing but the truth .

"We're going to be signing today and registering the national emergency and it's a great thing to do because we have an invasion of drugs, invasion of gangs, invasion of people and it's unacceptable," he said.

Mr Trump said he expected to be sued: "Sadly, we'll be sued and sadly it will go through a process and happily we'll win."

How well the fox faithful repeat old tropes from the fifties.
Play it again Sam.

I guess seeing things from different perspectives colors opinions. I don't see it as attacking neighbors. I see it as standing up for the interest of the American people. Why on gods green earth were American dairy farmers paying a 290% tariff to Canada? I don't really care what trust was broken. We have been getting the shaft for generations, its called RESPECT, not the kind of respect you have for MLK, but the respect you give the MOB guy. Mabey countries will think again before screwing around. I am not implying that Canada is a serious threat. China and their constant theft of intellectual property is quite the threat . The funny thing is , this threat is a direct threat to the lefties who work and run Hollywood.

So Trudeau, is a boxer? Doesn't seem like much of a fighter.

As much as I would like to see the Stones and pass the j's with you. Toronto is quite a hike for me.

:tiphat: Quite a generous offer my friend.

Why do you think we want any milk? Who gave you that idea??

Well quite simply, because, we have more than enough milk and don't need yours, any of it. No need to act like we don't have the land to graze the cattle if we did need more. The neat thing is Packer we don't have an oversupply to try and force on our neighbours. At the end of WW2 Canada had 100,000 dairy farms, now we have 13,000, half of which are in Quebec. A huge majority of those dairy farmers, ±87.5%, were forced to find something else to make ends meet.

Why should more of our farmers get pushed out of work to accept your dirty milk? Because that's how we see it up here, we have higher standards than the USDA for our cattle. Maybe some of your dairy farmers need to find a new gig, we aren't making all your excess dairy products up north. Seems like you're trying to point fingers up here for the American farmer's choices on what to grow. Its hardly like they were selling it to us before and we just ripped up a trade deal, right?

Why should I have to feed my family your antibiotics and hormones? Seriously...I won't tell your family what to do with their bodies, where to pray if you just let us eat what we want.

What do you know about dairy farmers in America, more than a tariff? Why are you personally concerned about the dairy farmers? Have you ever worked in farm environment? After awhile you get used to all the smells. Are you as concerned with the soy bean and other farmers in to your country? They sure have been hit hard lately hey:tiphat:

"Dozens of Iowa farmers get less than $25 from Trump tariff assistance, data show"
https://www.desmoinesregister.com/s...ckles-iowa-farmers-hurt-trade-war/2065652002/

Yo Packer, when I said dirty milk, this is what I meant... and we are both a bit off. The tariff is not 290%, it's 270 and we only have 11k dairy farms apparently. Lost quite a few more in the 5 years or so since there were 13,400:laughing:

"The most popular difference between the two countries is the use of recombinant bovine somatotropin, or rBST. What is that? Well, Health Canada states that rBST is a synthetic version of a naturally occurring growth hormone. It is approved for use in the USA to increase the production of milk in dairy cattle, but is illegal in Canada. Why is this illegal for use in Canada? Health Canada determined that it did not pose a health risk to humans, but they also determined that it had negative effects on the health and welfare of cows.

As well, our maximum Somatic Cell Count (SCC) is also lower than the American standard. What is a SCC? It’s the total number of cells per milliliter in milk. Primarily, SCC is composed of leukocytes, or white blood cells, that are produced by the cow’s immune system to fight an inflammation. It’s a way we measure milk quality. For example, a reduced count of SCC is associated with better quality milk. Often if the count is high, it means the cow might be sick. Our maximum allowable is 400,000. Our provincial average is well below this maximum at 205,000. In Canada, each load of milk is tested to ensure it’s below that standard. In the USA, the national standard is 750,000, but the export standard is 400,000.

Another difference is our marketing systems. Canadian milk is under a system called supply management. It means that our Canadian milk is produced by Canadian farmers. We don’t import or export a lot of dairy products. Our farms use quota to manage how much milk comes off their farms. The result is fresh milk that hasn’t been shipped long distances, supports our economy and our communities. We value our supply management system because it give a fair price to the farmer and the consumer and is not subsidized through tax dollars through the government. Notably, turkey, chicken and eggs also function under a supply managed system in Canada. Americans use a different system where they have a bigger reliance on exporting milk.

Canada’s farm sizes are also smaller than our American friends. Our average farm size is 85 cows, while the US is about 225. We also have a lot less farms that the USA. Canada has about 11,000 dairy farms while the USA has about 41,800!..."

The truth , the whole truth and nothing but the truth .
Donald is not the first president with a more than interesting relationship with the FBI.
Reagan sold out to the FBI early on, felt it gave him an 'edge'.
His code name was "T 10".
No one ever defended Richard Nixon more vigorously, than Reagan.

Isn't the Prez beholden to tell the truth when he\she\it is in office? From my understanding, they are pledging during inauguration to tell the truth with their statements to the American citizens. Is this incorrect?... admittedly I'm no scholar:laughing:

Speaking of making a statement, I heard a political professor from a Canadian university on the CBC(Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) talking about social media and politics. Sorry, no link.

He stated that as of Jan31\'19, Commander BoneSpurs had tweeted about 'crowd size' 276 times and 'human rghts' TWO times.

Recall John Mitchell stating in reference to Richard Nixon, "if the president does it, it can't be breaking the law".
He was not remembered as a great legal scholar.

"Louis Houenoude lives in the small village of Heve, just outside Grand-Popo, in the small West African country of Benin.
He used to paint barber shop signs for a living. But now he is a bona fide artist.
An art gallery in Finland is exhibiting a series of portraits painted by Mr Houenoude.
The portrait series, called Bad Hair Day Leaders, consists of 14 portraits of today's world leaders, from Angela Merkel to Xi Jinping."

:biggrin:Does Donald have a patent on that hairdo!?

I'm not an expert. I was wondering if there's a fixture involved.

Like a big curler, something to support the comb-over.

Do they put velcro on his head, and matching Velcro on the underside of the combover ?

Can I get a job as Presidential Hair-do engineer ?

His hair never seems to blow around.

Do they check out all his outdoor microphones to make sure there's no wind ?

Or does he use enough hair spray so he's prepared for a hurricane ?

You may have missed your true calling, you would be a natural advance man and media handler.

I've thought about applying to the Trump admin. for a job, but not to help with his hair.

I would tell him to stop trying to look young & tanned.
