Tobacco increases THC levels in a spliff!

Tobacco in the joint would lower the temperature, and smolder better. Any blunt smoker can tell you they smolder really well. After all, we're ideally just trying to heat the resin up enough to vaporize, but combustion temperatures are way beyond that level, so a lot of THC gets destroyed by fire. Slower burn, less heat, less wasted THC. There's other ways to achieve that though. I just love blunt wraps. I would never mix tobacco into the core of the blunt though. Yuck.

It's all about the amount of tobacco because if it's the right amount you won't even tell it's there besides the rush.

This is the main reason I don't like blunts anymore because unless you roll it small with a lot of weed, I can still taste the harsh tobacco even though it's just a wrap. If I just put a little in I get the rush without it overpowering the weed taste.

When I look at how people in Amsterdam roll there weed with tobacco, that is TOO much for me and not what I'm referring to.

If it's tasty weed(taste gives you a good idea about how potent the herb is) use .25-.35 grams for every gram but if it's regular weed only .05-.10 grams so it won't over power the herb. mix it properly so every hit would be a good combination.

no way tobacco increases THC levels in a joint... like Big Herb Tree said, the only thing that will add more THC to your joints is hashish

tobacco mixed with the joint will surely give you a different type of effect... but when people say it makes them more stoned, I guess they smoke heavy narcotic strains rather than psychedelic strains that take you high rather than make you stoned.

cannabis will burn down perfectly in a joint rolled with pure herb as long as it has been well dried and cured, no question about it, rather than add tobacco for better burning, try to dry and cure it better.

Well what i am saying is that if i smoke it pure it gets me high , active n thinking

But if i mix tobacco in it it gets me more stoned , the way i like to be before going to bed. My eyes become heavier , i feel drowsy well just stoned , not motivated
and i am talking about if i smoke the same strain.
But i must admit i have become a tabacco addict cuz in the beginning when i was young and couldn't even roll , we bought pre rolled joints in the coffeeshop(with tobacco).

Maybe cuz i am soo addicted to nicotine my body tricks me in believing i need the tobacco and somehow gives me less reward(ok nicotine is a hard drug so that figures))

Anyhows i can't wait to get my vaporizer and quit smoking any kind of thing. Time to clean up the lungs!

smoking burning veg. matter of any kind is not good for the body
that said i've smoked tobacco far over 45 years and pot for more then 40
for the last 20 years i've rolled my own cigs with additive free tobacco
when i'm smoking alone it's about half n half pot/tobac
but always pure pot with other people
do i get higher on the mix i don't think so
i've had friends who quit tobacco and said they got higher on pot after they quit

Yes they always sell them with tobacco. But somehow i don't think u can compare coffeeshopweed to weed u can find on the streets of columbia

the thing is that those pre rolled joints i think contain 2/3 tobacco and 1/3 weed, it's a real rip off those pre rolled joints , and they taste atrocious with little effect.

i think if ya dont roll the joint so tight the burning temp is lower and more thc is released, i seem higher, way higher off less weed with looser joints, my friend rolls tight ass joints where ya can barely get a hit and it gets all oozy and the high doesnt seem as good with the same weed, so no tabaco and not so tight of a j will do the trick just right.

bagseed77, you bring up a quite important point when it comes to rolling joints, proper tightness is directly linked to carburation, since the proper ammount of air that goes into the joint is what makes the j burn.

this is why cuban cigars are the best, not only do they have outstanding quality tobacco, but they have the hand-rolling technique down to a science...

when I want to smoke a little tobacco, I get me a nice romeo y julieta and it is a very smooth experience. in fact, I have one right here I may just spark up in a bit

Well let me tell you guys, I do em both, what ever I feel like doin, im a nicotine fein. I sometimes (out of a select bong) smoke bowls of PURE tobacco, if I could ever get my shit on youtube workin, id show yall. I don't perfer to ROLL a spliff with tobacco but I like to put some tobacco mix with weed in my bowls and rip that a lot better, but I do find I CANT stay away from my bong for more than about 15 mins, so I dont know how concervative it is as it is really addictive. The morning are the best buzz, toward the night the tobacco is like air, just to help burn the weed. I also find I hold the tobacco in longer than im comfortable with, but one cig will last me 30 mins to an hour instead of 5 mins. I dont know this has been my experience.

BUT I LOVE IT. I accepted my fate with tobaky awhile back ago, I just hope somethin else gets me before the cancer. ASPARTAME AHHHHHHHHHHH IM RETARDED FROM CHILDHOOD. no really I am.

It's true spliffs get you blasted. Makes your stash last longer also. I stopped once I started growing and had stuff I liked to taste. No good reason to smoke tobacco anyways. Well except blunts

Im addicted to tobacco, and I love it. Im a mutha fuckin smoker, true to the leathery lungs. It goes way back in my family to, my grandpa and great grandpa both died of lung cancer, and they both smoker cigs their whole life, those are the only two I knew but it goes further back all the way to my great great great great grandpa CRUNK, no bull either his last name was CRUNK, he live in texas, I think west texas. He was a rancher, also farming goes way back, so Im startin to wonder if all that has alil somthin to do with who I "am".

But for sure the tobacco doesnt increase the THC in the weed, But I can see how it would be more effeciant at increasing the amount of THC that gets into the BLOOD STREAM, due to proper burning temps, and perhaps the tobaccy helps "carry" the THC through the lungs into the blood. We dont have THC receptors in our lungs, but we do have Nicotine recceptors, one reason tobaccy causes lung cancer. Cells mutate to have more receptors, leading to a malnurished cell and just a plain fuck up loser cell thats a mutant nasty fuck and never wants to die. kind of like that.

Interesting thread going on here... I personally think it just boils down to personal preference and cost. I use to always mix my joints with tobacco until i met someone off here (u know who u are), now i only smoke pure and all i can say on this matter is i get far more wrecked on the pure than i did on the mixed also i get the real taste and smell of my buds . When mixed i also got the taste and smell of the tobacco, which in my opinion would taste like shite now. I must point out i still smoke cigarettes (20 a day)(gotta try n stop) but i never mix it with my bud. I look at it as a sin lol

Just my 2 cents on the term 'spliff' Over here in the UK the term spliff is just another term for a 'joint' etc wether it is a pure joint or mixed joint coned or straight, it dont matter its a joint/spliff pure and simple.
There are many different words/phrases in the english language that refer to the same thing it all depends where u come from, this side of the pond or our american cousins. What we Brits call something the Americans call it something else and it is rather confusing at times, (everytime i hear the word fanny pack i wet myself) lol Its the whole football v soccer thing, different words, same meaning.
