I haven;t even peeked into this forum for years, maybe it was a form of denial that I was getting old or feeling old beyond my years, happily enough those days have passed.
I can't smoke or vape any longer as my oxygen absorption levels had dropped into the high 70s, it should be in the mid 90s; I would get extremely winded with any good toke or vape, it would make me short of breathe and feeling ill for a good 2 hours, I had to make a change.
I'm sitting here typing this while wearing my BIPAP mask and taking oxygen with it as well. I'm feeling much much better these days but I surely miss the buzz, time to turn to edibles. btw, my dreams are just crazy, every night and I remember all of them after waking.

I have a serious question about my pocket Da Vinci vaporizer. I have been using 350degrees and 250 degrees to heat my ganja and I do not believe either one is completely burning the cannabis. The smoke I get is not large at all coming from the vape. Do any of you have the magic degree number I should use for bud in my Da Vinci pocket vape? I am at wits end and have read the whole manual. Yes it does not list cannabis on its temperature chart. Peace and respect for any positive suggestions.

most all portables are garbage but this is what many base their opinions of vaping on.. the only thing I regret about vaping (SSV) is when I get out with friends and someone lights a joint, cant taste anything but butane/sulfur and ash.
I stay higher longer when I vape .

you do need to use a blue flame torch type of lighter instead of a bic lighter, it not only gives you higher heat but it burns much cleaner. The instruction guide will tell you to fill the chamber 1/2 way, I cut that down considerably to somewhere between1/4 ~ 1/3 full. And I get HUGE hits.
When I light up and let go of my toke any friends that are watching let out an "oooooh!" as they're shocked by the amount of vape I'm exhaling. And yes it is vape because a quick look inside the bowl shows that light brown duff of vaporized weed.
It takes about 5 or 6 hits to master the draw necessary to vape the weed perfectly as opposed to burning it (too strong of a draw will burn the weed like a standard pipe hit) but it's easily learned as mentioned above.

I know this will hurt a lot of feelings, but I dont think you can learn half as much about weed if you don't vape, and if you dont like vaping, either "youre doing it wrong" or your product is not on a proper dankness/spiceness level. Quality discrepansies will turn your love of vaping into hate, and vice versa.
Vaping is the end all to most grow and genetic questions. I can taste every change a grower makes in 95% of grows. A curse when so many growers have zero taste buds and lots of hydro jugs. Some of us can even tell where the stuff was grown, using a vape. Soil/medium is an easy guess. Hell I can even guess the parent plants on lots of breeder strains if given choices.
Convection vaping is a myth eraser, which is why lots of people dont like it. Exposes weed and growers for what they are. Like people who say "og isnt a strain" or "og is one strain". I can tell you theirs 3 distinct original og's that have nothing to do with each other, and that what we have now are crosses of these 3 unrelated strains.
Its fun to figure out lineage and detect seed potentials with a vape and a decent grower. Gsc is cherry pie! Get a vape, as a growing tool if nothing more. If your mouth isnt watering with the first hit, your op could use improvment! Wanna see how long you need to flush? Longer, if you grow the stuff i have to vape eight now! Yummy npk

I know the original GSC breeders, they do not give out their original GSC clone, so what are you smoking, is it the original GSC or one of the many knockoffs making the rounds as clones or herb in dispensaries? 3 original OG's you say? After being a hardcore smoker since high school, I'll admit my lungs couldn't take combustion anymore. I bought a Volcano and quit cigarettes a few months ago and it's dramatic how much my health has improved and how much better I feel. I'll still rip the fuck out of a blunt but day to day I just stick with the Volcano.
You could have just quit the cigarettes to make your lungs stop hurting.
Smoking pot has never made my lungs hurt. Ever. And I smoke shit tons.

Ha, well you may be right. At my peak since becoming a legal grower a few years ago I was taking upwards of 50-100 bong rips and smoking a couple cigarettes every day. All I know is it got to the point where I just felt gross and my body felt gross.
I honestly find combusting kind of gross now but I'm always down in a social situation.

I preferring eating to be honest, Vaping is great if for whatever reason you want to be high but not the long haul of eating. I just don't prefer smoking joints but bongs are fun, dry sift is better than water hash or oils. Just my opinions but to be being high is more important that getting high, like all people I think it is fair to say if you're with a group of friends, then getting high is more important and big hubble bubble with an oz of full melt would not be turned down it would just be a really fun time.
