Heya Resin Rider,
Always good to have you stop by dude! Thanks!
Y'know I just realise I haven't got any pics of Lone's Hammered Cherry or Darlene, or SOL's Sweet Tooth #3. Imma have to go invesigate, and see if I can find 'em. I hope I can, other wise it'll be 2 month before I can get some
Question about the distance from lamp to buds. How far is that in the photo?
I think my lamp is way too close. About 8 inches. I am using 600 watt lamps though. What you running?
Just a funky problem I am having where the leaves tend to stand straight to the light as if it even wants more. Have not figured out why yet. But I am working on it.
Wish I had a photo to show but my cam sucks and the photos come out orange and you see anything too good. When light out they drop so I cant take a photo then so. We'll see.
Thanks dude.
To answer your question, those are 600s in the pics, that's all I use for flowering, and I try and keep the light about 18 inches from the tops. I'd say 8 inches is far too close, unless you're using air-cooled shades. I know I've had heat-stress develop when my plants get that close. Hope that helps bro.
Stop by and ask a Q anytime, and I'll try my best to answer it for ya.
Thanks Timtim. That could be why my leaves are doing that. I have always ran them so close you know. End of flowering some tops burn so I should move em farther away. I have always read the closer the better. I have em on movers.
I just need a pic for you. I found one that joeshmoe took for me when lights out. So its hard to see what I am talking about.
Another strain
The other thing is deficiency. These two trays I used rockwool slabs on the bottom for larger roots you know. And both these trays show this problem.
Hey bro,
No worries, leave the pics up, the purple in the second one is gorgeous! Although, it could be a slight potasium def. What strain is it?
Your lights should be ok closer than 18 inches if they're on a mover. But, personally I'd still move them up a little, say 12-15 inches. The deficiency you mention looks like a magnsium deficiency from the second pic, and I'd say this is atleast partially the reason the leaves seem to be reaching for the light. Some epsom salts should fix that up, or better yet a cal/mag product. Extra calcium is good too, to a degree anyway.
Hope this helps dude.
Id say you are right. The first shot is of some white widow from my local co-op . I probably want to get away from the slabs and go for the coco mat instead.
Thanks for the kind words about my girls. I wish I could of had something like yours. But I love learning. I will definately be following your show. Thanks for your help as well.
Yeah coco rocks dude!! And personally I'd even go 1 step further and get rid of the slabs altogether. IMO nothing beats the vesatility of pots. A single plant in a pot is MUCH easier to move around than 3+ in a slab or mat.
I'm sooo envious of you guys in the USA being able to buy clones, unheard of down here. But ahhwell, ya make the most of what ya got I spose.
Yeah, drop in from time to time when I get my new show up an' kickin', always glad for a chat. And no probs on the advice either, I just hope it all works out for ya. Good luck dude.
You rock timtim. I am going to hit the hydro shop today.
It is nice being able to buy clones but most of the time they are not quality cuts and you end up with poor quality herb. I finally went back to seed. I was able to get some strawberry diesel so I am excited.
Strawberry Deez hey? You lucky mofo, those things are as rare as hens teeth!
Glad I got mine on the first release, before the hype really started. A+ herb, I think you'll really enjoy it.
Hey guys,
Just found a few pics of DJ Short's Original Blueberry from years ago. Sorry they're not the best pics, but I was a total noob back then. Notice the leaf curl in the first pic? That's why inexperienced growers shouldn't start with something like this. It didn't take much to OD on nutes, but once I noticed, it was easy to correct.
I had 5 girls, and all were really similar. They high was nice and mellow, but not overpowering. They smell and taste was mainly earthy, but with sweet undertones. I definatly couldn't smell or taste anything similar to a blueberry in there. And as far as yield went, I'd say just below average.
I really wanna give this one another shot now I'm much more experienced. I think it'd come out MUCH better.
And here's a pic of Sweet Tooth #3, sorry it's the only one I could find, and I'm p*ssed about that, cos she was a very photogenic lady. She had the most intoxicating candy smell/taste, with just a hint of dankness to spice things up abit. I really liked this one! Wish I still had it. Guess I'll just have to get some more though.
She yielded really well, had excellent bag appeal, and a really fun, social sort of high. Great for smoking at parties.
And just for shits 'n' giggles I thought I'd post these couple of pics again, seeing as though they got such a great respose first time round!
I'm sure you've all heard about the Guiness World Record for "most people in a mini"
Well.......How 'bout "most clones in a car"? hehe y'all think they'd put me in the record books for this one? hehehe
And cos this IS a "porn" thread, I thought this pic was rather appropriate!
That's my girl, with a KC36 "bush" in front of her........
