LUI ...I "Highly" recommend it! ..yes we don't start counting outdoors on solstice do we? so why would we count from the day we turn out the light. I know it's more of an average outdoors but you catch my drift no? If you were going to count by days outdoors you would have to start when you saw hairs. it's just I hadn't thought of it this way either till you brought it up. Good point.

ahhh...and your other question...day 41 and not having the girth you had hoped for? there there. it'll grow. LOL that means it's really only been a few weeks showing hair right? give it full dosage ferts for the next few weeks and then back off on the nitrogin for a few and then flush. that's my simple plan. seems to be working now.

Does seem to make sense to start counting when they actually start budding. In that case, I'm not too disappointed. Because counting from the pics above (when the buds first started), I'm only on day 28, and I think she looks good for day 28

She's been on her full dose flowering nutes for a few weeks now. I may bump it up though, just to see how she reacts. Here I go, fixing what ain't broke But, you never know till ya try, right?

But, at any rate, I'm probably just borrowing trouble (been known to do that a time or two - even earlier in this thread LOL). It ain't over til the trichs turn, and that's the only time the size really matters, right?

What Nutes are you using? I'm all organic and have been going really light on my last few bins but the bin I have started this time, is getting super high dosage in my opinion and my LUI is just eating it up.

Fixing what ain't broke? I'm with you on this one...I don't want to screw things up but what the hey, eh? after all. It's just a weed and unlike my hair, grows back...ha.

so I'm kinda stumped as to why I haven't come across this topic yet. aren't you?

Quick update guys -

All the girls seem to have recovered nicely from the Cal def, now that everyone's gotten new nutes. The mom and MMs have perked up nicely in the Vegroom, and it appears the BrainWarps may be getting ready to show us some pre-flowers.

Over in the flower room, our Sweet13 reveg has gotten back into the business of packing on weight. I'm still thinking we may be a few days off in our count, but as I said, it doesn't really matter. We go by trichs 'round these parts

On a related note, the DWC girl decided it was indeed time to get started flowering, and has put out some pistils for us! I'm going to begin counting her days now, just for reference.

Like I said, it doesn't really matter, but it will be interesting to note. This should be a 60 day strain, but I'm betting that by the 'flip count', the Reveg will end up going to around 70 days. I'm thinking that by counting from pistil formation, we'll see the DWC girl finish up right on schedule at about 60.

We'll see I'm also gonna start a thread in Grower's just for the discussion value.

I'll grab some pics this evening, so I can get some lights out pics of the buds.

Here's the promised pics!

The veg room - as you can see, the mother has perked right up with her calcium infusion, and started putting out babies! The BrainWarps are loving life, and you can definitely make out the sativa influence in the two on the left. And our little wrinkle leaf mutant is chugging along - I gotta admit, I'm intrigued.

Now, onto what you pervs really crave - porn And just like the big money-maker porn sites, we'll start with the youngest first Here's the DWC Swt13's first pubes:

As you can see, they've added some weight in the last coupla days, but not near as much as I'd hoped. In all fairness, 'A' pheno wasn't the highest yielder in the bunch. 'B' was, for those that followed the last grow, and actually was the preffered smoke. But you just can't beat 'A' for looks Of course, the decision was easy when we lost all the genes except A LOL

As big a whine as I'm making about these, I'm really not bothered. I know it takes more than two grows to really dial a strain in, and couple that with a new room...

I'm just thrilled she's doing so well, and that everything went as planned with the room. Now, with the DWC girl, I WILL be upset if I don't get some colas that would also count as illegal weapons

your flowering girl is putting out a nice layer of trichomes eh? i just wonder why she isn't bigger with all the light she gets.

have you ever considered growing in coco? it will really help your yields and is just as simple as an earth grow, if you wish it to be. ie. hand watering works and most folks will double their yields when they switch, unless they were already getting a gpw, then the coco will not change much, lol. i just recently helped a mate to change his setup from an earth set up with pots on the ground being hand watered, to a fully automated table with coco slabs, on the first run he harvested 40% more then on his best earth run and he didn't even do such a good job, lol.

you might want to check out the coco forum and see what you think.

Actually Gaius, I have been thinking about checking out the Coco. You'll notice I've been visiting over there a bit more often recently

Like I said though, I'm not really too upset about yield with this girl. She's a reveg, plus I have no idea how she was treated before I got her back. Combine that with the calcium def, plus a new room, and I'm just thrilled she's doing as well as she is doing.

Not to mention, she's still got about 2 weeks left to go.

I'm thinking I'll see how the DWC girl does before I make any real changes for yield purposes.

I will admit that you must be psychic though - I was reading through your domain yesterday, and went and paid the hydro shop a little visit to browse their coir selection Seems natural, given that I'm using Hydro nutes in no nute soil now, so I don't think the learning curve would be too extreme
