I just got back from the nursery and bought some k+ neem oil( in hopes to kill theselil fuckers).i have been using sm-90(1 tsp/gallon) with very little effect. White specs apear on the surface of the leaf and when i flip the leaf over i notice these tiny worms moving around...some even hop & jump when i try to smush em(smart lil fuckers).

I would like to know exactly how to use this product..is i direct spray on or do i mix it?? the label has directions andi am reading it(just walked in from the awesome nursery i found), but i wanted to ask you hardened pest killers out there exactly how to attack these guys. As stated earlier i was trying to get em with sm-90(1tsp./gallon) , already have done three applications and the worms or thrips(i think is what they are) are still there.

I have 4 plants in flower(three are on week 3.5) one is on the very first week of flowering(NO bud sites). Ialso have a veg area that seems to be affected, can someone tell me how to mix or how to use this k+ neem oil(organica is the company) in the various stages please??? THCZr was helpng me earlier via PM's in chat but he appears to be busy now. Can someone hoook me up please???

Here are some shots of the affected plants....

I have used SM-90 before, but probly can't help you much. Thrips are hard to get rid of in my experiences. I recommend you using the SM-90 on a daily basis for about 5 days. Possibly making some tobacco teas in-between also. SM-90 by itself will not take care of thrips totally imo, but with the combination of it and beneficial insects the luck is on your side.

If you can introduce PIRATE BUGS a few days after sprayings have been done. I'm sold on Pirate bugs, they may be somewhat exspensive but they are worth every bit.

Good luck with'em

a piece of the guidelines..just click it

GENERAL APPLICATION RATES

Production Farming /Ornamentals (roses, crops, trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials)
Thoroughly shake or stir K+ Neem Concentrate thoroughly prior to diluting with water. Since no synthetic surfactants are used in the formulation separation will occur. Make up a 1:50 spray dilution (0.5 % of active ingredient) with 1 part Organica K+ Neem Insecticidal Soap Concentrate to 50 parts soft water or 2.5 ounces of concentrate in 1 gallon of soft water. Thoroughly wet all sides of infested leaves and branches. Make sure spray penetrates through dense foliage to wet all infested surfaces. See label for specific concentrations for specific pests and disease.
Turf (golf courses, sports turf, landscape)
Shake or stir K+ Neem Concentrate thoroughly prior to diluting with water. Make up a 1:50 spray dilution and apply 1 quart of finished spray per 110 sq. ft. / 100 gallons of finished spray per acre. This equates to 2 gallons of concentrate per acre.

other source i found.....plz my friend ... :rasta:

Are there any precautions that I should take when spraying with K+Neem?
Other than not mixing other products with K+Neem, it is best sprayed in the early morning or late afternoon which helps to increase effectiveness by lengthening drying time. It is also best not to spray when temperatures exceed 85 degrees F.

Can I mix K+Neem with other products?
As a general rule NO.

How does K+Neem work?
K+Neem is a contact killer with the mode of action being mechanical in nature. The unique blend of potassium salts. which comprise the soap, penetrate the cell wall/membrane of the insect and react with the fats and waxes found in the cuticle that covers the insects exoskeleton. These potassium salts then degrade the cuticle and exoskeleton causing the insect to dry out. When this occurs, the insect can't regulate its metabolic and physiological functions and the insect expires.

How often should I spray with K+Neem?
It will depend the severity of the insect problem. Check the next day to see if there are any live pests left, if so spray every 2 to 3 days until the problem is gone. Usually 1 spray is sufficient.

Is K+Neem safe for all plants?
There are some sensative plants. Read the label for a list of sensative plants.

Is K+Neem safe for the environment and animals like cats and dogs?
Definitely YES.

What insects will K+Neem control?
There is a long list on the label. In general, aphids, scale, mites, mealy-bugs, whitefly, cabbage worms, japanese beetles, chinch bugs, mole crickets, lace bugs and stink bugs to name a few.

What is K+Neem?
K+Neem is a unique product formulated to provide professional and home applicator with an effective alternative to toxic chemical insecticides. This water-based Alcohol free, non-flamable insecticide is effective on a wide range if insects powdery mildew, and is safe for use on food crops up to the day of harvest. K+Neem is the NATURAL choice for turf, ornamental, agricultural interior and greenhouse crops. K+Neem does not use any solvents in either the extraction or manufacturing process to compromise the integrity of the product

What is Neem Oil?
Neem Oil is the natural expressed oil from the seed of the Indian Neem tree. This oil has been used for centuries by the Indians both as a medicinal and insecticidal product

What is the dilution rate for K+Neem ?
1 part K+Neem to 50 parts water. 1 quart of dilute spray will cover 110 square feet (100 gallons per acre)

What should I know about mixing K+Neem?
First read all directions. K+Neem should be mixed with soft water. If mixed with hard water a scum will form on the surface and may clog the sprayer. If you only have hard water then you can add a water softening product such as Calgon. Don't forget to thoroughly mix concentrate before measuring needed amount.

When I spray my yard with K+Neem, how long should I wait to let my animals out?
Just let the grass dry. K+Neem is exempt from the 48 hour notification and is OMRI listed

Will K+Neem control fleas and ticks?
Yes

Imo thems arrr thrips [ thrips have two life stages in the soil too ] and you gots em pretty bad. Neem is ok for preventative and mild outbreaks but when you got them in full sorce your going to want something a bit stronger than neem. When their in the soil you'll have to spray more than once.

You can tell if you got them really bad if you move one of the pots and you can spot the crawlies on the floor underneath. Once I had them bad enough to shutdown for a couple weeks to clean them out of all food sources. I also timed them getting from my veg room to the flower room and it was about two days since the adults have fully functional wings.

kokua

yep you got thrips

yep you got thrips

Spinosad...problem solved.

Don't mess with neem...
Don't mess with pyrethrins...
Don't mess with SM-90 or Insecticidal soap or any of that mess...

Do your own homework...but I messed with thrips forever and spent a pretty penny trying to get rid of them...I found Monteray Garden Insect Spray that contains spinosad. Three applications later and I haven't seen a thrip in over 6 months!

Im not even afraid of them anymore...I've got the vaccine :)
