Lol........as usually happens, DHF said it better than me :tiphat: (not that I consider myself "gifted" necessarily, but once my gears get turning they don't stop for a long time)

Ravi my brother:comfort: Id call you gifted buddy. some of these systems you make are nuts man, that HP discussion thread its like im reading another language. LOL

Medi I have no interest in making hydro systems to sell. You could easily build one. It's been laid out for you already ( by Heath) and inexpensive ( compared to store bought systems.) A tiny bit of plumbing knowledge is all you need. Hole saws , I use a jig saw to cut the lids, or even a razor blade, a tape measure not much more except determination.
You can do it!

Yah I know what you mean cyat:tiphat:
I have actually built quite a few DIY's over the last couple years, this being my fav( I don't think any of my systems were as well designed as heaths though, I would pick and choose things from differnt folks and try and combine them into my modded systems.

I still am always trying to learn more and further understand different concepts, I still have so much to learn.

That was a three site heath/lost/dd's/dhf/billy liar combined into one system, which ran three seperate water pumps(one pump fed each bucket), LOL

The thing is, I am putting together a magazine in my free time(broke my back and have a lot of free time of late.)

So In my spare time I like doing product reviews, writing or anything ese to further add content to my mag, which in all honestly will probably never be seen by anyone but me(LOL). Heath was actually the very first person to give me the heads up to use his articles and pictures in my mag.
a good example is I don't need all these cloners(i have several others as well).

I built an aero cloner for about 40 bucks that I use most the time, but these type of articles makes for an interesting read for folks who do not like DIY's, arnt handy, or are simply rich and would rather just buy something off the shelf,:dance013:

that last system worked really well for me(pictured), but i live with my girl and its not the biggest place, so whatever I am not using I generally lend out to fellow patients in my area who are struggling like myself, I wanted to go swoop back up on my buckets but my friend is mid grow, be kinda fucked up.LOL

and since we are talking about marketing, Here is a little something really intersting to wrap your head around.

Back in november of last year the under current already had their own subforum, and the MPBs had their own subforum.
At that time the site was still using the Old VB software and DDs section was called, "Grow 4lb trees with doubleds" instead of Doubleds mpb buckets as it is now.

Ucme even commented(11-10-2010, 05:10 PM), saying
Just had to point out that at this moment 277 different people were viewing this forum....that's intense. Shine on you Crazy MPB :)

There was like 20 people viewing the UC section at that time, Not Once have I seen more than 40-50 people ever viewing the UC section at once, just checked right now(its at 29 people).

When they upgraded to the new vb software they changed the name of the subsection to Doubleds mpb buckets instead of grow 4lb trees with doubleds, the number of folks viewing the mpb section dropped from an average of about 300 people at any given time to about an average of 15 people in about a week/

when the MPBs first hit, I remember numerous times seeing over 500 people viewing the subsection at one time.
(right now its at 13 people).

ROFLMAO. FTW!!!

bottom line
A rose would smell as sweet given another name, but probably wouldnt sell as well thats for sure.

MPB = rube goldberg machine of hydro
It only increases the irony of Heath using the name Heath Robinson(a british Rube Goldberg).

DHF

LMAO MGT.......Now all the youngun`s will be googlin "Rube Goldberg" AND Heath Robinson......so....

There were a LOT of things Doubled`s didn`t disclose about his bullshit "mpb" setup he totally learned from Heath AND krusty bucket technology , especially his G-13 freak that I`m still sure he lied about how long it took ta get 4 lb plants vegged to before flip till end of cycle........but.....I digress...it hooked a lotta good folks lookin for money trees , and it pissed me off......

Once DD`s left all the folks hangin at the farm that weren`t experiencing his phenomenal yields , but rather crop failures left and right , here came the Undercurrents with all their claims to fame with several success stories to go along with marketing........

Lambs to the slaughter......Caveat Emptor.........Let the buyer beware......

Nuthin new under the sun.........only different marketing campaigns.......

Ya`ll don`t take no wooden nickels....DHF...:ying:...

Now go cross reference for the "original" UK`s version of "Heath Robinson" back during war times...LOL....:dance013:....

Peace....DHF...:ying:....

Nice looking bushes cyat. With the LVPK, trim all that small larf shit off the lower parts of the branches for the best results. Good luck with them.

cyat do you have a separate place for veg and one for flowering, if so what size pump do you use and how many plants can your pump support

thanks

ya I have a veg and flower room. I keep rearranging and changin, tryin to improve. 4 tubs in in veg and four in flower. Veg is now 14gal tubs and 4 gal buckets, flower is the 27 gal tubs and five gal buckets.800 gph cheapo pump for veg,and 1800 gph danner for flower.
One big upgrade is drains w/ valves on every tub.
Got more ionic hardwater formula dm gold wasn't working to great, maxi was just gettin by.
Took the filter off the danner pump it was breeding bacteria. Using 35% h2o2 now too.
Flower is 2 tubs per 1k scrogged with hoods, and some coco trees in 15 gal plus pots.Coco side is gettin individual bamboo scrogs. Got a big adjustawing with a 1k and it is giving me way bigger nugs than the other hoods. Been goin back and forth between bare bulbs and reflectors. Hoods are definitely winning, in yield and quality. A lot a people will disagree but different strokes for different folks. I do like using bare bulbs to fatten em up in veg. Light seems less focused and more seems lost with bare bulbs. More adjustawings in my future.

that ucmenow feller was awfully harsh to me once in a thread
and it hurt my feelings.

Hey Cyat.....I gotta step up and say the reason bare bulbs aren`t doing what you want em to , is from no reflective surfaces behind where the bare bulbs are blasting sideways so that what gets past the plants lumen-wise will be reflected/bounced back at the plants for increased lumen absorption and swellage for bottom line increased yields......

This is per your pics with bare walls absorbing all the sideways light that can`t get back to your plants.....

Good luck with the adjust-a-wings........DHF....:ying:...

hey fred good point. I did the reflective thing too but it created too much heat in the flower room. gotta find that sweet spot with what I have to use. buds are bigger with the adjustawing. it can cover almost 8 ft in veg too buds on the edges are plump too. I think the strain is still the biggest factor in yield.

D

DHF

Gotta control the heat Bro........Gotta keep the reflectix , or whatever yas can use comparable......

You don`t bite the hand that feeds yas as in total reflectivity and lumen absorption IME , and trust me......bare bulbs rule from beginning to end of cycle regardless...........otherwise , why would Heath employ em with almost every setup he runs ........?.....

Peace.....DHF.....:ying:...
