This Is How You Kill Powder Mildew Forever!!!!!

If you check out the Lacto bacillus thread in the organic soil forum, you can make it really easy, and it does WONDERS against PM. I'm in the Pacific NW and mold and mildew is a HUGE problem up here, and the Lacto works every time.

That's funny as hell krunch.... but for real's havent had the PM since and I dealt with it for 2 years with every single organic thing I could possibly throw at it to no avail. Eagle 20 does it, and i've never had it back. Peace and love all, Stagger

Lacto is a cure for it and it doesn't cause any types of toxic effects to humans. Your nasty toxic Eagle 20 crap contains cyclohexanone which is known to cause central nervous system depression, as well as liver and kidney degeneration. All just by breathing it in. Yeah great cure since even the label says to use it every 7 to 10 days!! Sounds more like control than cure to me but if you feel comfortable advising people to use products that are harmful to themselves and the environment, hey more power to you!!

Oh please. Your ignorance of the subject is astounding.

Not only is your knowledge of PM sorely lacking, but your fear of designer hi-tech products is laughable and sad.

@Grape, someone who thinks DDT is organic and then tells someone else they are ignorant about anything, is hilarious!!! I've read most of your posts, and you seem way too excited to try anything some chemical company makes without any thought to the side effects of the chemicals you use. Your right, my knowledge of PM is limited, however my experience with it is huge. Not only on cannabis but on tons of ornamental plants since I used to be a landscaper. Maybe you should learn to read labels and the look up what those chemicals are and what they do? Did you know that both myclobutanil and cyclohexanone have EPA limits on exposure because of possible CNS damage? And cyclohexanone is KNOWN to cause liver and kidney degeneration. Maybe you don't care about your liver and kidneys or your central nervous system, but I'm still young enough to care about my health.

But then again, what do I know about chemicals, I only used to be a licensed pesticide sprayer when I did landscaping, and studied vast amounts of chemistry (including neurochemisty) when I was in college.

Thank you for your concern. I too have a PCA license. I guess you might be a bit too serious when you see an image of a DDT bottle from the 1950's and cannot process the humor. But that's a problem isn't it?

Folks like you believed all the crap from "Silent Spring" and DDT was eventually banned resulting in tens of millions of deaths in Africa alone. Never mind that it was all due to media hype and miss-information. Just like the miss-information you are spreading here about the dangers of these types of products. DDT used properly was a great product. So is Eagle.

You do know how they come up with safety baselines don't you?

You'd have to flat out eat and breathe this products for years to reach critical mass. I don't think anyone is suggesting that users are brain dead. Just you.

Actually, never read the book "Silent Spring", and "folk like me" are smart enough to think for themselves. Yes, the stop in use of DDT did increase the amount of deaths from malaria, however it didn't go back up higher than it was before DDT. (Some African countries still use DDT to control mosquitoes and tsetse flies). And I'm smart enough to admit that yes DDT did have some positive benefits in the world, HOWEVER it's negative benefits vastly outweighed the positive benefits, especially in countries with no fear of malaria or sleeping sickness.
As for eating and breathing this product for years, which product? DDT or Eagle20? DDT accumulates in the body fat of animals (lipid soluble as opposed to water soluble), and in time effects the entire food web (DDT accumulates in algae in lakes, fish eat the algae, birds eat the fish, etc) Studies have shown that the concentration of DDT in Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe (they still use it to control tsetse flies and mosquitoes) is very low, ~0.002ppb, while the algae from the same lake contains ~2.5ppm. That's a HUGE change in accumulation. So while it may take DDT some time to accumulate and cause problems, it still does accumulate and cause problems. As for Eagle20, there are very specific exposure limits to it's ingredients, especially cyclohexanone.
I'm not trying to say that your precious Eagle20 doesn't work, just that there are safer ways. To me it's all about weighing the risks and benefits of anything I use, and most synthetic chemical pesticides have risks that to me outweigh the benefits.
Now you personally may be smart enough to use Eagle20 properly and safely, however not everyone on these forums is. In my opinion telling some dumb stoner kid who wants to grow the dankest dank there can be, and who at the slightest indication of PM or any pest for that matter tends to overdo things to use chemicals that are dangerous and hazardous when not used properly, is a little irresponsible. Again not saying everyone on here is a dumb stoner kid, but there are a lot that don't read labels or directions on things and just spray.

I sometimes wonder if some people don't realize there is a "New Thread" button.

"however it didn't go back up higher than it was before DDT."
What does that mean?

My question remains unanswered. How often is "every time?"

However often the pm comes back, because lord knows that lacto isn't doing a damn this aside from knocking it back a little bit.

I just got my eagle 20 for $47 buck w/free shipping. Based upon what I've read from various posts and the instructions eagle 20 is meant to be sprayed on the plants, not feed to them correct? I'll be doing a dunk at 2ml per gallon + DM saturator. Should I only do one dunk or dunk them again say 5 to 7 days later just to be safe? I my spray them around day 7 of bloom before the buds start showing up. Hopefully that will be good enough til harvest. I'm about to bring in new clones from a different site that I know is clean and PM free. I had PM show up in the last week of my last crop. So I sprayed the hell out of my room and gear with 2 cans of Lysol for a couple of days to kill any spores that might be floating around. I remember when this thread was 8 pages long and I was going to get some at that time a year ago but never did because my PM problem went away.

This is all such an interesting debate. But when PM takes over a room the debate is over. Fuckin War Time. When on deadly ground 'attack/kill/cut'.

I have never had to use more than one treatment. On flip from veg to flower. Perfect time.

Spraying them is how I do it. Dunking could be cool if you are up to it. Not needed at all.

Please do wear the proper protective gear. I personally have a special outfit that covers all parts of my body (including my head), I have chemical safe gloves (the long ones), closed shoes, goggles, and most importantly a proper respirator (dual filter types). Use a dedicated sprayer, measuring pipet, etc (only for eagle).

Once you have sprayed in your room, no re-entry for at least 24 hours. Read the label. Stuff is major poison.

Be safe

Diatomaceous Earth will do NOTHING against PM. The reason it works as a pesticide is because it has very tiny razor sharp edges that cut open the soft body of certain insects, then absorbs the liquid from their bodies killing them.

If you're taking it internally you NEED to use "food grade" DE. It is used to get rid of certain parasites internally in humans and livestock. The biggest health benefit you would get from DE is the silica (most human supplements are made from DE or horsetail herb). What you need to know is that silica is required in very small amounts and can lead to the loss of other essential vitamins. It contains thiaminese (enzyme that destroys thiamine, vitamin B1), and can also lead to kidney stones and kidney malfunction with prolonged use.

Thanks for the reply. I did my dunk last night. Yeah that stuff smells worse than race gas. I always use chem gloves with pesticides because latex is not good enough. I did it next to my exhaust fan inlet so most of the fumes went out the room quick but still not quick enough to avoid catching a whiff here & there. I do have an N95 respirator but the filters are worn out, time for new ones for sure. I also wear a dupont tyvek painters suit to protect against splashes and drips. I hate all the special gear needed for pesticide use and the clean up of the surrounding area afterwards. I'm ocd about the cross contamination of my grow gear after using pesticides.

Here's a tip for people who use the dunk method. Put a air stone in the your container to help your solution of Eagle 20 stay mixed ( the directions say to keep well agitated) or whatever product you use. It also helps your solution get into all the edges of the leaf surfaces without the need to move the plant around while its under water. Just dunk & hold, the bubbles will do the work for you. Just be aware of the micro bubbles popping on the water's surface, remember its a pesticide.

the only reason i did not use the dip/dunk method was i had no idea what i was going to do with 20 gallons of mixed eagle when i was done with it (big plants). i sprayed the room with 1 gallon and it worked just fine. you just have to hit everything ...... it aint organic but it is something to think about
