You might fetch it a nice cool beverage for it. I mean, to some degree, they're water/moisture critters. And that wall looks a bit dry for their 'tastes'. (Do snails actually have 'tastes' or conscious preferences?). Maybe a low-powered spray-mister. But then, like with hungry abandoned kittens, you might find you've gained a dependent (upon -you-) friend...

good idea. Maybe I can try to put a few drops of water on the wall near his head or something

yeah trouble is there is no sunlight in his direction :(
I got no spray paint but I do have watercolour, inks, acrylics and oil. Which do you suggest?

none of the above. any of those (AND the spray-paint) would harm it. got clods over here paint shit on terrapin shells. paint keeps their shell from expanding as it grows. you could just buy a terrarium and bring it in for the winter. they make good pets; they don't bark, whine, scratch at the door or want to be walked at odd hours. i was JK about the paint. (note to self-watch it!)

I´ve been so busy working today but I just checked again:
it´s late, it´s dark outside but the little guy is still clinging to the wall outside my flat lol. Do some snails do an ´october hibernation sleep ´?

i find them buried in leaves, under rocks, loose bark on dead trees etc in the winter. so, yes.

It's probably afraid of heights. You know, how when you get petrified about being up high, and you freeze in place, clinging to what ever you can? Sounds similar to what your little feller is doing. Either that, or it's dead, and hasn't had enough release from nerve activity to drop to the ground.

I still say you should take it a beverage. Or pray for rain, maybe.

rain..weeell it´s october and I´m in a usually soggy climate but , surprisingly it has not rained in a while ..
Yeah, if he IS afraid of heights, should I simply remove him from the wall and put him down in the front garden?
