Yes, here in Nevada your med card IS your drivers license. Your license just gets an extra seal on it.
No its not, you get issued a seperate card.

I would keep it.......I don't think anyone can afford a felony. Job wise. Thats a big game changer. But take a stance as don't drive impaired period.
Wasn't it decided in court in California a few years back that once you were issued a rec (card), there was no law saying you needed to cough up the money for a new one, ever?
no it dosent you must not be fully registered because i have 2 id's 1 says drivers license 1 says mmj id both look the sameYes, here in Nevada your med card IS your drivers license. Your license just gets an extra seal on it.
If it wasnt personal information I would take a pic of my card right and post it. I sent in my recommendation and request to join the program to Carson City, they sent me back a letter telling me I was accepted roughly 3 weeks later and that my med card would be in the mail 7-14 days before I got it. When my card arrived via mail there was an IDENTICAL card to my license with an extra stamp on it. I was told by the DMV (being this is the administration that sent the card) that my drivers license is my medical card that the extra stamp attached to it represents my registry in to the program. Every med patient I know here who drives has the same type of license I do.
Here is a write up on attaining the Nevada card:
You must pay the fifty dollars in a one-time payment-the Nevada State Health Division does not accept installment payments. You may not pay with a credit card, either. If you wish to pay the fifty dollars in cash, you must do so in person at the William Street address in Carson City.
Once you receive your application in the mail, you and your physician must follow the instructions very carefully. If you don't have a caregiver, write "none" in the space provided.
After you complete the application, be sure to make a copy for your own records. Once you mail back your completed application, you can expect to hear within thirty (30) days whether you've been approved or denied. If you are approved, arrangements will be made to give you a Registry Identification Card, which looks like a drivers license and is your proof of membership in the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program.
From the OFFICIAL MMJ Nevada Fact Page:
"The cost to register in the medical marijuana program is $150.00. There is a cost for fingerprinting, payable when you have the prints done. The cost can range from $4 - $20. There is also a charge to have the registry card made, payable to DMV at the time the card is made. The cost for this ranges from $11 - $22."
Oh yeah, that sounds like all kinds of fun right there...
I'm just correcting blatantly incorrect information about the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program. No one forces you to join the program. If you don't like it, than don't join.
you dont have to register to be a mmj patient. and you can go to oregon or cali.an get a med card from a doc an use it in court to get ya off all charges also.

ya, finger printing, fuck that. It seems a lot easier to get busted if your in a registration like that. nobody will ever know about your grow if you do your job right as a grower. 99 percent of busts are from rats. ex-spouses, nosy neighbors, etc. seems if you just keep your shit tight and be observant to who is watching you then you will be ok more than likely. I grew in texas for a decade and exercised extreme secrecy. I still do. It kinda sucks sometimes, but a slip up is not really acceptable in this line of work.
