When stacking multiple bulbs in a vertical system, how much space is most efficient between 600w and 1000w bulbs?

Is that 10'H as in ten feet tall? As in I need a step ladder to trim? That would be great!
With 3 1k's stacked, I wouldn't be surprised of you got 9 or 10 lbs.

Yep thats 10 feet tall. :) Yea the step ladder thing may be the only bad thing about it.....if you'd call a 10' wall of buds a problem. Seriously tho I got 4.25 lb of ECSD from double stacked lights in the same room that is now triple stacked.Anything over that this time around is just icing on the cake for me since its only 4 plants. I only use 8' of the 10' screen, each plant uses 3.5' x 8' of screen. A little over 100 sq ft of canopy using a 36 sq ft. footprint. Brilliant concept imho. Thanks goes out to you , DHF and alot of others on here in the last couple years.

Cravenmore your vert is rocking! You need to give the vert forum a thread!

How many plants have you got around your bulb, and what is your floor space?

Hi Marlo,
I just wanted to give you props for setting up this 'How to Thread'!!! Thank You, as a soon to be bare bulb vertical grower I have been following your threads for some time . . . having a per-prepaired shopping list is immensely helpful, Thank You again!!!

I'm all bare bulb vertical myself now.

After having set up a friend with a rock bottom budget I had to convert myself. 4k dropped vertical with a can 125 / MAX 10" fan. We do around 8-9 plants in a circle with a 1k dropped down in the middle...honeywell fan blowing straight up. Can run it year round with 10" exhaust keeping the main house central air pretty low. Doesnt get much more simple/easy then that. Add blumats and there aint much to do.

We also drop some Hilux 600w MH lamps around here and there...just a little more icing on the cake.

My only gripe is that the room is much harder to navigate. I'm like a spider monkey in there and cannot even attempt it unless its end of the day as I STINK after slipping around in there. Makes a trellised horizontal grow look like a cake walk in comparison... but eh.. I'm all for simple and larger yields..

Need to better secure my ladies however as things got a little tippy lately leading to some scorched tops.

I'm wanting to con-VERT and need some advice.. I have a 10'x10'x8' room to work in.. I have multiple 600's and 1k ballasts/bulbs.. I wanted to ask the vert pros how to best maximise this space?? How to set up the lights and plants.. I was thinking 5g smart pots.. Maybe crop circle style, tomatoe cages?? Thx for any input...

If plant limits are not an issue, look at bobblehead's racks. (bobblehead overtakes)

Tons of smaller plants filling a space in a circle around a vertical column of light. With a couple of 1000's and a 10x10 room you could put a 5' per side octagon holding a few hundred monocropped clones for the win.

Read lots of the stickies in the vert forum front to back. Ideas will come.

So i have been running vert for two rounds now and i am pretty happy with my results so far. The main thing that i am left wondering is what Sort of height will a 600 watt lamp cover?
I keep my plants 18 to 20 inches from the bare bulb but what sort of footprint (as in the height of the cylinder) will a 600 cover and still produce quality nugs and no larf?
