I was thinking about the whole diesel/original diesel thing and the confusion surrounding it.

The Weasel made Underdawg by crossing chem 91 with Mass Super Skunk x Sensi NL. It was also called Diesel because of the aroma. And was nicknamed headband for some other reason.

JJNYC said people in NYC started calling Chem 91 Diesel because they didn't like the name chem.

Underdawg becomes Original Diesel to differentiate it from the chem 91 that was being referred to as Diesel.

Confusion ensues.

I understand this has nothing to do with the topic other than Underdawg being the mother of sour d. Apologies for digressing.

Peace

Much respect , She Looks crazy

Curious to hear your thoughts how she stacks ,IMO I think HB is better than most kushes ive seen But not better than the Deez .

Yes my homie, this headband (original diesel) matches up very well with ecsd...I reckon they swing from the same family tree! You pick em, sorry I cannot state a preference. All in all, both extremely stanky cooters, and potent on your fingers, lips and tongue!

Did MeltingPot say run them cool temps? Absolutely! At 80 degrees she'll throw white pistils past day 90, ten degrees cooler and you can knuckle her up all swollen in 72 days flowering...

Once again the headband, calculated day 82 flowering in a summer environ indoors

And a wintery sour barely to 70 days 12/12

Remain very cool and peaceful my homies!

When you say original sour d, is that the same as original diesel aka diesel #1?

Peace

Well, I don't know for sure but if I had to assume based on the name I would say it's probably the DayWrecker.

I think CSG/Lady Sativa Genetics refer to it as Original Diesel. Which looks different then the ECSD.

What's funny about this whole thing is years ago ECSD kicked off the hype, now years later there are all of these "original" cuts that are supposed to predate the one cut that started the whole ball rolling.

Same with OG Kush I guess, back years ago it was just "OG" now there is 20 cuts that ppl claim as the oldest the most original bla bla bla.

Fly By Night, is that the daywrecker or is that DNA's "headband". I grew DNA's Headband a few years ago (orig diesel x OG) and it was pretty damn good.

If DNA's cut is original diesel/diesel #1/underdawg/daywrecker/headband they shouldn't confuse things by calling it original "sour" d.

It isn't sour. It's straight diesel funk.

Honestly PRJ, I think growers on forums have a better idea of what's what then most of these weed god breeders. Most of them are just selling a name.

Funniest thing is I'd never even heard of diesel in 2006, now I know the good weather's coming I can set up my annual X-mas sour d run.The last 5 yrs I've finished the sour on Dec 1st so that by x-mas she was ready for papers. This year I'm running a week behind so it may be New Years.:)

I have a cut that was given to me 8 years ago(Im on East Coast of course). Man she is everything your saying. She gobbles N and Mg
she reeks of sour fuel for sure. so very loud. I have called her SD she has the three/five leaf profile, the only thing that seems different is when the conditions are right she turns dark purp. Here are a few shots Of her in flower Ill take a few shots of her in veg. she looks identical to most of the veg. shots Ive seen in this thread. Flower to till she gets black. Any ideas? I would appreciate it. ECSD is def in the mix. She is a gem Ill never let her go.

Bumping this old ass thread for some relevant info. Going to be putting a plant I received as a clone labeled as the "Chaco Cut" into flower within the next couple weeks.

From reading here I gather see likes her calmag. Lower temps as well. What about finish time? I see talk of anywhere from 70-84 days in this thread. What about a rootbound plant with multiple feedings per light cycle? Has anyone done that, and got her to finish a little early?

Not that I wont take it the 11-12 weeks that's needed. But If I could shave a week off(10 weeks), I could run her for production in my perpetual. Instead of only flowering 1 at a time, and having it finish with the batch started 4 weeks after she went in.

She likes it in the 70's and can be temperamental above that. Take her to 80 days. That extra week will make a big difference in potency. I've taken her at 10 weeks she's still decent but just not the same. Maybe if you put her in the dark for a couple days to jump start flower you could take her earlier but I never tried. She's worth the extra time even if you just put her in the corner to finish out.
