not necessarily. many state gun laws have run afoul of the 2nd amendment in the Supreme court, and rightfully so. the right is terrified that we will end up with gun-grabbers /buy-back enthusiasts in charge, and the left does not want wives, sisters, & daughters to be forced to have children they do not want/cannot support. hmmmm....anyone see a compromise in there? i do, but it will really piss off all of the fucking wingnuts on the fringes of society. everyone hold your noses (FIRMLY!) & repeat with me "okay, fuck it. you leave Roe vs Wade alone, and we will stop trying to take your AR-15s away from you" there, that wasn't so hard, now, was it?:dance013:

It's not even a compromise to me, I think most would be happy in that situation.

I talked to a righty today and was surprised to learn that he already had all the talking points down defending trump disputing his election loss and using the court to overturn it.

I found the info my other above post was edited .. Here is its again. It only effects states that want to make abortion illegal.

If Roe were overturned, abortion would stay legal in 21 states; be unprotected by state and district law in five states, the District of Columbia and two U.S. territories; and likely be prohibited in 24 states and three territories

Then why are people worried about Roe vs Wade if you can just go to a legal state and get an abortion? I'm in Indiana, only federal law prevents my from owning and shooting automatic weapons.

once again, no one wants to see the elephant in the room. our most vulnerable citizens, poor women, aint got the $$$ to travel & pay hotels etc. some states require repeat visits, waiting periods, etc. you can buy & shoot a full auto, you just have to buy the fed stamp & pass the background check. they make it expensive, not impossible...just like abortions. can you see the hypocrisy there? should only rich people be able to own a full-auto? should only rich people afford an abortion? i think any voting age citizen that needs/wants either damn one should be able to go get it. the WW2 "grease-guns" were mostly stamped sheet metal, and dirt cheap to make.

What business is it of the government to say which guns I can own? I personally don't care if a woman gets an abortion, but going against my right to own semi automatic rifles (don't even get me started on fully automatic weapons which should be legal) will force me to side with the right every fucking time.

what is it exactly that you're so scared of you think you need a machine gun?

what use is it aside from killing humans?

Then there’s those that don’t want armed 17 year old vigilantes patrolling their streets. For that I get abortion? You can keep abortion.

we've already got 17 yr olds with guns in the street, have for decades. it IS getting worse, and many of us have been expecting it. even if i thought it was the right thing to do (and i don't) it is not possible to remove guns from the world. mountain dwelling Afghan peasants with nothing but hand tools turn out serviceable copies of AK-47s, think of all those basement/garage machine shops out there with MUCH better tools. guns aint going away...

We are allowed to own automatic weapons if we have a large secured safe and pass an extensive background check and pay the ATF $200 every couple years and that is some bullshit pay to win type of thinking. Then I have to purchase overpriced automatic weapons from a licensed dealer and register them to the state which is more bullshit just so I can legally own automatic weapons. We are legally allowed to own automatic weapons made before 1986 but good luck finding one it always goes to the highest bidder and the price gets ridiculous.

Not all states allow us to even have 1. Getting fully auto air rifles shipped to CA is difficult.

ah, good old Kalifornistan...a big enough problem to need its own website, not thread, lol. 5th (i think) largest economy in the world, and home to some really unusual people/ways of thinking. you folks leave me scratching my head at times...:shucks: i got nothin', have you given any consideration to splitting into 2 or 3 states? i think Tennessee should. or let us east Tennesseans reform the State of Franklin, lol.

Shoot somebody over a gorilla grow. That’s why children shouldn’t have weapons.

i don't think the vast majority of folks (pot farmers or not) would shoot someone over it. they damn sure might return fire if attacked though. self defense is always legit, unless you are trespassing. that changes things legally...
