My take on "mood on the street" is decidedly against the republican party. They are fairly reasonable here and Gardner isn't that bad other than gargling sperm for his party, but he is getting the boot as the state is motivated and just sorta done with it. Conservatives aren't buying what they are selling, they just want their guns and to be left the hell alone. Fine by me...yall can even have some extra mountain lion hunting permits as far as i am concerned. Still super weirded out and feel bad i hit one.

yup. i've been bitching about the reactionary pushed swings that the pendulum of power keeps taking. every shift of power is followed by an over-reaction to being handed the reins. these assholes do not get a "mandate" just because they won an election. but both sides seem to see each win as "proof" that the public is behind them every step of the way. so, they go wandering off into left or right field when most folks want to take a closer look at the pitchers mound & second base...

I was viciously attacked right here on this site by a person who misinterpreted my comment in a staff meeting conversation, that someone had shared in violation of every privacy concern I can think of. The conversation was from another place and time but they brought it here and ran me down. There were folks commenting on the rants yet, only 1 person spoke out against the emotional railing of this individual.
I chose to remain calm and not give them the pleasure of response.

That was nearly 1 year ago and before I became a registered member here.

My observations show that... oft we try to defend ourselves against a verbal attack and in the defending, folks can (and most often will) already have made their minds up and the person defending themselves is simply digging that proverbial hole.
Perhaps IF the opinions of the person doing the finger pointing/ accusing/ ranting had any value to me, it may have negatively affected me but alas... other's opinion of me really doesn't effect who I am or my values.

I will not now nor ever again (hopefully) respond to an emotionally dysregulated individual, unless they come at me in a physical manner. Then, I will defend myself.

What others think of me really is not my business. It does not matter how well I live my life and treat others etc., there will always be someone who doesn't "like" me. That is their prerogative and effects me not.


Bottom line... don't take the bait
