i would really like to see Tennessee return to medical cannabis. we have only CBD at the moment. we HAD medical weed years ago, but when the feds quit supplying the weed, the (then Democratic dominated) legislature let the law lapse. there have been a number of bills aimed at restoring this right, but they keep getting bottled up in committees dominated by assbite chairmen that give not one fuck about how the citizenry feels about anything.

In a sense, he's right. But I wouldn't say commies. But definitely those in power want to control what the public sees and ultimately how they feel - A New World Order, the Illuminati, The Skulls, the jews, the Pentaverate, the Freemasons, etc. Whoever your favorite boogeyman organization is that makes you want to don the tinfoil hat.

Whenever I see a story in the news that's grabbing headlines, I always ask myself, "What are they not telling me?" It's like a magician performing sleight of hand. "Look over here, not over here."

I see it more and more every day. News outlets only showing the left and right extremists, the 5 - 10% on either end of the political spectrum. 90 - 95% of the country is firmly in the middle and the news is trying to manipulate and paint the other side as the extremists. "I'm a democrat." "I'm a republican." "The news says you're the enemy, and I need to hate you."

So we end up with groups like ANTIFA and the Tea Party. Who represent a very small portion of the population, but get the most air time in the news. Why? "If it bleeds, it leads."

This country is being driven to civil war by the news outlets. [dons tinfoil hat] And when it does happen, those in power will be able to declare martial law, confiscate guns that they fear in the hands of those that would use them against the gov't, and enslave us all.

Now this is a pretty good summation of the situation. It's the small percentage of extremists on both sides that garner the most attention. The biggest problem is most people are too lazy to do a little research, or read a history book, or bother to fact check a source. Too many people want to be spoon fed information, and are quick to latch onto whatever source that confirms their existing bias.

People can't be bothered to do a little research. I do tech support, I see it every day. People go out and buy a new TV. They want to connect it to the WIFI and watch Netflix. Do they bother reading the manual? Do they go out on Youtube where someone has done a how-to video on ANYTHING you can possibly want to know? Do they contact the manufacturer? No, they pick up the phone, and demand I walk them through the process. Same thing for iPhones, or Android phone or computer owners. People are too fucking lazy to think for themselves.

Spoon feed me the information. It's no wonder people buy into the bullshit they do. Especially if it conforms to their existing bias.

The News isn't controlled by commies. It is controlled by those that want to steer opinion to their own interests. And they know people want to be spoon fed what they want to hear.

Somebody on another thread pointed out that Australia took all its civilian guns away (supposedly), But the USA has 325 million people, and Australia only has 24 million. So I don't think it's happening any time soon.

They didn't 'take' them away, they did a buy back.

That was in 1996 just after the Port Arthur massacre.... i think that was the last MAJOR gun incident in the country.

People can still get guns but they need to be registered etc.
