come with me to the valley of the dead

come with me to the valley of the dead

these are some pictures of a small hike to a valley called 'valle del muerto'.
it is about 3000 mts above sea level:

where am i? japan?

valle del muerto

view of a place simply called 'el valle' the valley

this is a typical paramo flower, protected by law, take tons of time to grow,
here's the famous frailejon:

flower cultivation near by

partial view of an acient crater

mountains and river

hope you enjoyed. the valley of the dead is too cold, too high and too much wind to grow cannabis hehehe... i thought about it of course, just imagine :yummy:

Yes the elevation would be good! Great pic's and country!
Just love the isolation, the problem here is lots of countryside but tones of people.
Looks like fun thanks for showing!

Hola Paz!
The 'valley of the dead' calls to me! How much of a population is there? Is it protected govt land? I can imagine a greenhouse there - the Temple Two! :D

Well I've screwed up a bit this yr. I watered my seedlings too much. Put about a ltr in the tray, emptyed it out a 1/2 hr later, but it was still too much. That, coupled w/ leaving them in the cold frame too early in the yr. Crazy variables in temps.Just too cold still.
Had guys working @ my house, so I put them in the cold frame days, bringing them in @ night. They were getting the same amount of light, just more intense. Two of my Nigerian IBL's started sprouting balls after 3 days of this!

So I decided to keep all the seedlings outside to adapt, No one else has expressed, but it's just been too damn cold!
So here are the 'cantarelas', along w/ the angolanXbangi's on the left. They're struggling even worse, but I have faith they will rebound in the warm weather! It's a long season.

Yeah, the moon is full tonight!
Peace, HL

neil, highlighter, good evening men :joint:

valle del muerto 'valley of the dead' is part of the territory of a national park; a pretty big national park, ecological reserve. a greenhouse there would work for sure; but without it i doubt the plants would make it. the valley is located at a small 40-60 minute hike uphill from the end of the main road into a famous tourist area, so the valley is visited a lot; this made some idiots change the name of the valley to something more friendly hehehe... so infantile, i still will keep calling it its real name though :sassmoking:

your cantarelas are looking good, mine are kind of freakish lol i have also been having problems with cold and overwatering in seedlings; a malawi seedling died today because where it was it receive many drops jumping off from the floor from last night's rains; it was windy and chilly too. poor things were in pure vermiculite too :yoinks: tomorrow gonna transplant all seedlings into better soil...
what r u gonna do with the males? i got one cantarela male.
it is a pain to hide plants or get rid of them due to having strangers overs for some reason or another...
anyway,
peace and light

Well I'm gonna try and keep this one going, dig the purple sacs, and the early expression could prove beneficial, bred w/ some of these other africans.
Obviously, the auto-flowering/photosensitivity in the Nigerian Nightmare comes from the Nigerian IBL. And Reef used a N IBL female in that cross.
I have four NN's under floros, where they'll stay til summer solstice (june 21st) hopefully. I'll use them to fill in pulled males.
Last yr. I dug up my nicest male Biddy Early @ 4 ft tall, and hauled it out of the patch a half mile away.Pain in the ass! Made some nice looking F3's so I think it was worth it.

Salaam Paz!

what a beautiful place you live! Love the valle del muerto and those strange plants up there :yoinks: Your columbian x swazi looks very tasty, pretty swazi dominant cross. I'm still taken by the last unknown columbian bag seed with the light green, very thin leaves that hasn't flowered much yet, it looks great. Bet its going to flower for ever :joint:

Saludos

dimebag, greetings man :) i am checking how your ssh x kush is going :joint:

hola boris :) hopefully you'll have your own temple soon.
what can i tell u about the darkvaders? well, they were not acclimatized to where i am, so the first round they grew to be very small and fast plants, much like a lowryder... the smell of the bud and appearence, smell and smoke are all very nice; however, the effects of the unaclimatized plants i harvested was so-so, just a nice tasting and relaxing smoke; it didn't have the psychedelic punch i am used to finding in bagseed; but to me it was good enough to want to try and grow it again and see if it does better, specially now that they r more aclimatized.

peace

Paz- I think that lack of "psychedelic punch" is just due to the indica,ha. Whenever I buy some herb and it's indica it always is a real dull sluggish type high, and wears off in an hour or so. More like a short lived opiate than what I feel herb should be. Usually tastes and smells really good and funky though, but just doesn't do it at as far as the high goes.

update

hello everyone,

boristhehaze, your nick reminds me of boris becker, for obvious reasons :D

ganico, bro, indicas are your nemesis hehehe... it is so interesting to me how different plants can be, narcotic to euphoric pychedelia; amazing plant.

this is ms. medjool's plant (hola!) , or what i call the nany plant, been flowering for 60 days more or less:

here we have a thai//mexico x banghi

darkvader f2, in the middle of a colombian x swazi red and a colombian bagseed, about 30 days flowering:

colombian bagseed about 30 days flowering:

colombian x swazi red around 60 days flowering:

china x banghi:

cantarelas, been having some powdery mildew problems with them and i burnt them a bit with vinegar trying to get rid of the very annoying mildew:

seedlings of colombian, malawi, colombian x swazi red

i harvested a little from one of the colombians x swazi red, very good flavour, nice high too; but the plants need more maturing still, between 3 and 6 weeks more i am guessing, when they get ready they should prove to be some real nice smoke hopefully.

one love.

Plants look very lovely  I'd give my right hand and balls to anyone if I ever got the chance to grow outdoors in the tropic...hell, I'd even give my balls to Marc Emery for that, if my memory serves me right he hasnt got them and mine are well used, and damn right hand always feels just like a hand for us righthanded people, would be a pain in the ass to roll joints after that but I wouldnt mind...oooo...tropic...
