Most of you guys seem more interested in the smell than the high; so what if it stinks, you don't get high off the smell.
Sam the Skunkman said here somewhere that he bred towards the sweeter smelling skunk because the roadkill skunk was a couchlock sleepy stone, and people wanted something more uppy and energetic.
The roadkill probably was the afghani pheno's, and the sweet smelling ones leant to the colombian and the mexican.
A skunk cross afghani would probably give you something along the lines of a roadkill skunk.
If you want something that absolutely smells, and smell horrible, try crossing a white widow with an afghani, I have done that and even desperate street dealers who were getting it much cheaper than anything else they could get, were still doubtfull about taking it, it smelt so bad.
And by the way, white widow cross afghani is supposed to be the make up of white rhino, but I have grown white rhino and it's nothing like the cross I make.
Go figure.

Anyone grown out Reserva Privada R.K.S? They say it smells like a skunk but I haven't grown it, maybe just skunk #1.

This is their info -
"Reserva Privada R.K.S (Really Killer Skunk) is crossed with Afghani x Columbian x Thai. R.K.S is 60% sativa and 40% indica. If you are looking for that stinky, sticky green that smells like a skunk, this would be the strain for you."

you know growing up when weed was illigal was tough on me.
i pretty much had a good selcetion of brick weed for the most part untill i got late in highschool and startig making good connects.and ill tell you what when we found a bag of skunk we were happy causes it didnt smell like mold and it didnt taste like dust you know the high was cool but the cool part was definatley getting of that boring generic blend and stepping in the realm of exotic weed.

Would love to get the real deal RKS back again. I definitely remember picking up some awhile back and it wasn't just the smell it was in the taste as well. Just something about it and it was one that was hard to finish a bowl of because of how hard and fast the high came on. I think it was back around '01 when I picked some up.

I remember back in high school (1993) grade nine playing hacky sack in the smoke hole (stoned) when all we could smell was a skunk. Well our smoke hole was a covered area that used to be a play area for grade school children. So there was a few areas that where like the size of a closet where u couldn't c in. Well all of us niners thought for sure it was a skunk. Nope some hippy freak comes out of there cough like crazy, just killed. Years later as I become more of a pot head I scored a oz of that skunk that I remember that hippy was smoking. Just one of those strain that u remember for ever. It would be nice if ppl would grow some skunk other then kush. Sorta getting sick of it. That's y I started to grow again. I did grow skunk #1 and it was the sweet pheno but I loved it.

I sent some RudeGAL into seedbay as "FREEBIES". You will get a nice Skunk Funk (I am not saying it is Road Kill,) also some will be Skunk Funk with Fresh Black Pepper. The ones with the undertone of Fresh Black Pepper seem to be more sturdy structure wise, have a wider leaf and are much more easy to grow.

Enjoy the "FREEBIES". Oh yeah I also included a few packs of Pomo's Pride another selection of Skunk #1.

Many Blessings,

Reservation Labs

Dont mean to be rude but i been to 50 or more weed stores that have jars in them labled skunk and its always dipressing sticking my noise in them dam jars knowing if they had skunk in the dam thing i wouldnt need to stick my noise in it to find out.last time i found out i had skunk was in 07 me and my buddy went halfers on a sack drove up he tossed the bag in the window i tossed him the cash.i tossed the sack in the middle consle 3 minutes later me and my buddy are stairing dead at eachother grinin at that point we knew we just scored some nug lol.was some of the best skunk i ever had i shoulda called for more if i woulda known the shit is extinct:woohoo:

my clone and beans are both circa 1980. grown the beans. its rks. just pheno hunting. probably run 100 plus outdoors to find the keeper. real rank, huge yield, sour skunk ass, lemon lime twist,

I recall a post awhile back where NYCkid reported having beans from Medocino joe , I don't remember him very well but I do recall he had some very rare unique strains .

Another thing I thought of for sometime while we know Sams doesn't wish to work/release the line himself ,why wouldn't one of the community members who are friends of his obtain some stock to work toward a ressurection project ?

That's a thread I'd love to follow , hopefully you can document it .I don't recal anyone posting in the community claiming to be growing that stock

The last RKS thread was Jim Ortega stock from CVK he had trouble cloning an hasn't updated since .

I'm curious if you could share how you aquired the stock an who/where from ?

Best wishes

S2B, You'll love those cantaloupe skunks for the high and yield. I grew 10 from seed, got 6 females. 5 were really low odor, but 1 wasn't. That 1 was more indica dominant, all you had to do was bump it and the room filled with skunky stinch, almost overpowering. Made my girl gag. So I had to be careful when watering them. I passed clones from 3 sweet smelling ladies to a friend to hold, but not the really stinky 1. In hindsight I think that was a mistake. The sweet smelling girls were all bright highs, but that stinky 1 was a lights out stone. I hope you find the RKS in those beans. I'm about to start my grow back up, going to get a carbon filter for added security. I'd like to get some of those. Where did you get them ?

Going to wait on the cantaloup skunks till these run thru. Gotta keep the plant count down. lol Sound like winners though...love my skunk weed.

So far all but 3 of the seeds cracked and are planted. Got one up already! Hope something comes of these for sure.

I got them from a guy off another forum. He was part of the original crew that worked with sam and joe back in the day i believe. These are joes seeds crossed back into each other in an open pollination i believe.

A friend grew some kiwi skunks packs out a while ago. Out of 4 packs he found 3 keepers (which is great! I hate this talk about "there shoukd be a keeper per pack on a quality strain. Not true imo)
The bad news is, only ones really skunky and its no-where near roadkill level and he's done a few crosses and they seem to pass on sweeter skunk traits.

So maybe more searching would be needed but I think youd have to do a lot of searching
